ok, i'm an old guy trying to get set up for some modest audio/ midi recording. i'm really interested in using t2. i've given up trying to use an old laptop & weasled the wife out of our old desktop!. now i need to pick an audio/midi interface. is the $250.00 price now on spike intended so you can then add the boxed t2 at $150.00 to arrive at the old price?. or is spike being discontinued. thanks, tom

not sure but ads here in the UK have the Spike for 179gbp (~$250) and say 'now bundled with T2'...

There is a thread on the Mackie forum where Beno confirms that the T2 with Spike is the download (non premium plugs) version btw - I know some people have been confused about that in the past.

Wait, I think I'm still confused. So if I want a Spike and I want the premium version of T2, I have to pay $250 for the Spike that's bundled with the non-premium version, and then pay $150 for the boxed (premium version) of T2?

It seems that way. You may want to email mackie sales directly for clarification though. It seems to me that spike should at least get you a hefty discount on the boxed version, but that's up to mackie.

AS far as I know, yep.Big_D wrote:Wait, I think I'm still confused. So if I want a Spike and I want the premium version of T2, I have to pay $250 for the Spike that's bundled with the non-premium version, and then pay $150 for the boxed (premium version) of T2?
You'd be better off just buying Spike and buying any additional plugs that you want (either the ones in the full version of T2 or others you prefer) seperately.
