DK+ suggestion

Hi,

I have just recently started using the DK+. I think it is a great product. I love its simplicity to use and its sound.

One suggestion would be to improve the editing capabilities on the step sequencer. It would be good to have windows type editing functions within the sequence table itself so that, for instance, a group of hits could be selected and processed together etc.

At the moment the main editing functions seem limited to right-clicks on the buttons.

thanks for the feedback, unfortunately multiple selection for editing is beyond the current implementation of the DK+ sequencer,

our goal was to make a button step seq in vintage style, with the benefit of all tracks visible at the same time and some functions per step by right click
on cell beat

Hi I have another suggestion. For custom kits by default DK+ picks up the bank.dk+. It would be nice if other .dk+ could be browsed for custom kits as well without having to manually load them. Some of my custom kits have a few nice banks but I forget they are there because they aren't available in the main dk+ kit browser.

Post

Anyone else think this might be useful ?

Post

save the bank to a file called bank.dk+ in a sub-folder in the DK+ library folder named such that it starts with a "U", eg. UMyDrums.

then an entry called MyDrums will appear in the default list under User Kits.

(if i understood your question correctly...)

Yep, as JamminFool says, you just need to create an extra copy of the map (or rename the first one) to 'bank'.

Gday, thanks however I realise the default name of "bank" is always picked up. The issue is when there's more than one bank for a kit, you cannot browse that because you are already using the name "bank". Maybe I'm alone ! ?

read my post again.
the bank will be a unique if it is in a sub-folder using the User Kit naming convention.
good luck.

Hi
Yep, I use the "user-kit" naming convention. The thing is, inside the user kit I may have multiple banks. So, for one user kit (in sub-folder proceeded by U) it is not unusual to have multiple banks. For the factory kits this is handled by styles. The only workaround I know is to duplicate the entire kit into a new user kit directory using a different bank.dk+ file.
cheers al.

I guess it doesn't solve you r problem, but I just choose my 'main' map and make a copy of it called 'bank' so I can access it through the GUI menu, and access the other maps in a folder using the menu\bank\load function.
