Sorry, another simple question from me. I want to loop so I can rehearse so I need to set in out markers but I just can't find them. Promise I've done a search on the forum and looked through the PDF help manual, I just can't see how to set them but I'm sure its right in front of me somewhere.

Please someone put me out of my misery.

Thanks
John

press I to set the In marker, press O to set the Out marker. Or select a clip or clips and press M to set both the In and Out markers around the selected clips. Then press L to toggle looping on.

Thanks, I knew it would be something simple. Out of interest, how do you get rid of them when you don't need it anymore?

You can't necessarily get rid of them altogether (that I'm aware of), but I usually just go to the very beginning of the edit and press "i" and "o" so that they're at the beginning of the edit instead. Then disable loop mode.

you dont ... the in / out markers are always there ... just move them out of the way ... or switch looping off ...

The " [ " and " ] " keys can be used to move the cursor to the In and Out markers respectively; this is a very handy shortcut.

I used T for about 8 months before studying the keymap list to find this feature.

Now, I don't know how I operated without it.

for better or worse Tracktion is almost entirely about keyboard shortcuts.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

I realize that the more that I use it.

Here's something I'd like help with:

Sometimes when I want to put a marker down, I'll type in the measure/beat number in the transport area, then I want to mark that as a section and I'll do the CTRL+#, but my cursor was still in the time code box, and I'll snarl things up.

I find that I actually have to click in the tempo map area for the CTRL+# to get T to mark it properly.

Is there any way to setup T such that whenever I punch a CTRL+# combination, it 'knows' that what I want is a marker number designation at the current cursor position (without having to go up to that tempo map bar area)?

Thanks in advance for tips you can provide on this.

-Scott
