Wow - it's been a while since I've posted on this forum - I bet there's a lot of you now don't even know who I am!
For the newcomers, I'm actually the fella that wrote tracktion... nowadays I just tend to let Mackie get on with it, and don't have much involvement, so I've been developing a few other bits and pieces to keep myself amused.
And I'm just about to release my first post-tracktion product, which you lucky people can download and play with right now!
It's a level-meter VST plug-in, info page is here:
http://www.rawmaterialsoftware.com/ppm.php
and downloads here:

It's actually one of philip's ideas, a quick project that we did because there wasn't anything like it available, and because he needed one for a TV programme that he was working on. Turned out to be a really cool little gizmo though, not to mention a good showcase for my Juce framework and its plugin development kit.
In the spirit of keeping things cheap and cheerful, PPMulator's going to go on sale next week for the fabulous introductory price of £19.99. Hope it brings you all many hours of level-measuring enjoyment!

That's an atempt at the world-famous British humour I guess?jules wrote:I'm actually the fella that wrote tracktion... nowadays I just tend to let Mackie get on with it, and don't have much involvement, so I've been developing a few other bits and pieces to keep myself amused.
(sorry, I'm German so I'm a bit unsure about this...)

good point subz ... all the beta team NEED a free set of top end mackie monitors so that our reports on sound quality and the effect of the mackie plugins can be totally consistent ...

Wow. I just want to confirm I understood correctly Jules. You aren't involved in Tracktion development anymore? What about future major versions?jules wrote: For the newcomers, I'm actually the fella that wrote tracktion... nowadays I just tend to let Mackie get on with it, and don't have much involvement, so I've been developing a few other bits and pieces to keep myself amused.
