I posted this on the Mackie T-2 forum but still no solution.
Using T-2 & Sample Tank, The tone/bender wheel on the MIDI keyboard controller does not funtion with the Sample tank instruments. Anyone here have any thoughts ?

I tried that at first before I posted. When you said "set the bender wheel to the amount of bend I want" I want to bend on my external keyboard/controller not the virtual keyboard

if i move my bender wheel (pitch bend controller on my midi keyboard) it controlls it (you can even see the GUI pitch wheel move aswell)
do you have your midi input set to the right channel?
if you press keys on your midi keyboard dose it play the samples in sample tank?
or am i miss understanding what you want to do? (witch i often do

No, we're on the same page, and yes when I play the external keyboard controller , the keys in the GUI show as playing (in red) but the pitch wheel does not work> It does work on the keyboard controller tho.( it has speakers )
You said something about the right MIDI channel. I have never heard of a L & R MIDI channel. ( I have to confess I never really had the need to learn MIDI so I am just exploring )

well if the keys on the keyboard play the sounds in sample tank then it should be sending the pitch bend commands aswell?chance11 wrote:DUH !

I've done some experimenting and discovered ( by reading the manual ) that my external keyboard/controller's pitchwheel transmits on MIDI channel #2. When I am in Sampletank, and switch to ch #2, the meters on the MIDI side ( left side by the midi keyboard by the track it's on ) and the meters on the right side show good levels, but theres no audio. I switch back to Ch #1 and I have audio. I've got a feeling that the levels that I am seeing is the MIDI signal for the pitch wheel. so now I have a new question, how do I get the pitch wheel to work with Sample tank if the pitch wheel transmits on ch #2 ?
Oh yeah I couldn't find it in any Sample tank docs.

so you are saying that the midi keys (paino keys) play channel 1 & the pitch wheel is moving in channel 2?
also that little green light only moves when you hit a paino key! cc data movement or pitch wheel movment wont make this light move
did you see my vid tutorail on setting up T2? the link is in my sig!
