FR: better high res & dual monitor support

Hi all,
Just another feature request. I find that when T2 is open on my 17" screen, the interface buttons & widgets are huge and there's a lot of wasted screen space, especially at the bottom and sides. I would like to request that tracktion makes efficient use of the screen space.
I would also like to request that tracktion has better support for dual monitors. Stretching tracktion across two screens causes the bottom button interface to become a chronic waster of space, as everything to the right of it is blank (That's about 4 vertical inches on my screens).
It can be better! And it will be!

I use T2 with dual monitors. I find the best way to do this is to leave the whole Tracktion interface on one monitor and put all the plug-ins, eq and stuff on the other one (you need to lock them for this).

What screen resolution do you use?chrismuktar wrote:Hi all,

I do things the way Graeme does, but I HAVE noticed that stretching it across 2 monitors is cumbersome...
The filter and input areas get scaled to the new width, which doesn't make too much sense for me. Shouldn't only the track lanes themselves get longer? Who really needs more space for their inputs? The filter area, you can at least re-shrink if you want to (though I'd personally prefer it wasn't scaled to begin with), but the input area becomes a huge waste of space.
I don't know what anyone could do with the properties panel, but at least it'd be more 'compact' and efficient to just leave the properties panel on one monitor, too, instead of stretching it out. Ie. it shouldn't be scaled, either. Then the transport controls could also stay in the main monitor.
That would leave a lot of empty space at the bottom that I don't think could be used for anything useful, but at least the properties and transport would be compact and in the main monitor, still.
The transport controls aren't much of a concern for me-- fine, let them shift to the second monitor, but don't scale them, either! Just leave that big open space between the properties panel and the transport until someone creative finds something to do with it. Heck, you could even just lock a VST into place in that empty area and make your OWN workspace. For example, you could shove a copy of Inspector down in there.
