I have an Akai MPD setup in T. I wrapped FLstudio multi as a rack and put it's 16 instances in seperate channels. I then put the MPD in the first channel.
For most Multis, thats it..done. But Fruity is showing MIDI singnal is hitting it, but not making noise. I think there may be some steps that I am missing.
Any ideas?

Which version of FLStudio are you running? There was a problem from a while back:
If you're using an older version of FLStudio, try updating to the latest version, or re-downloading FLStudio if you're using an older install.www.flstudio.com wrote: 5.0.1 (20/12/04)

You've copied the rack to 15 other tracks in Tracktion?
Did you remember (for every rack instance) to set the correct Audio Out properties? (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, etc.)
Also, iirc, as well as loading the MDP in the first channel, you need to set the FX to 1 (or any of the FX slots from 1 to 15) for the multi-out version of the FL VSTi.
I'll try and check this out when I get back from work.

ok great..thanks..any help would be great..I am not sure what you mean by FX...I messed with the MIDI channel to no avail.
In FL standalone, I can not get the MIDI controller to play anything, but FL acknowledges I am hitting the buttons because the MIDI square lights up. So, I must be missing something there.
In t2, I just select my MPD or the oxyegn and its working..so I am used to that..maybe FL is different? I really want to get FL working in T2 because I think it could be a very powerful combo.

Hmn...
Okay, I opened Tracktion, added FLStudio (multi), opened the AKAI MDP template, started jammin' on the keyboard and the sounds play fine.
It seems that all the sound channels appear on audio out (1/2) by default, so I doubt it's the FX thing. The first channel is the 'layer' channel, it controls all the sounds below it, so you only need to use Midi Channel 1 on your MIDI input to control the entire MDP kit.
Check:
1. That you're sending on Midi Channel 1. (the fact you see the midi light doesn't mean it's necessarily going to the right sound, or any sound generator) If necessary, click on the Midi Input icon on the left of the Tracktion screen and force channel 1.
2. Make sure you're playing in the right octave and not outside the MDP range.
3. Select the first channel in FL and in the channel settings, click on the mini keyboard at the bottom. Make sure that FL is actually playing sound okay.
Otherwise, I'm afraid you might have to try the LoopTalk forums, which I tend to avoid due to the horrid layout and 'chat'.

ok..we have the same setup..this is cool.
I opened up the Akai template in fruity. this gives me a drum for each pad. my MPD is at the default pad settings, which I believe the low note is C#1.
The little keyboard for each sample will work when I hit the note, but I see that the notes are at C5...how do I mpa this stuff out right?
also, in the FL MIDI setup, what is the proper way to do it? I have the audio set right. It is for ASIO. I have the Firebox.
I have remote control set as my MPD 16. Master sync input is at none right now. I don't get output port mapping, but I have that as Presonus Firebox MIDI out on Port 1.
So I still get no sound, but maybe this is some kind of mapping issue? I feel like Im pretty close to getting this setup right.

so i gues my question now..is do you have to use the MPD template? when I switch other templates the MPD or Oxygen just controls the top chanel ..how do i switch the oxygen around to control different channels...ala tracktion?
