This is a product that works either stand alone or with a computer. Receptor does not require any kind of Mac or Windows drivers. Receptor works with WinXP x64.
What do you mean by WinXP x64 drivers? This is not a USB audio and MIDI interface. Please explain what is your concern exactly.

Dan,
I must admit, I was testing the waters, so to speak and I am sorry for taking up your time by this but from your quick response, I am very impressed.
First, thank you for such a quick reply. This is very important to me to be able to have direct contact with someone that is directly connected with a product and willing to follow up and support it.
Second, I must also admit that I am not that familiar with the product hence my first questions. I just have not had time to fully research or understand the way the receptor works or interfaces with other equipment.
My situation is that I have just transitioned to a 64bit PC environment. I am running Sonar 5 with RME audio and midi interfaces. My main controller's are kurzweil 2661 and m-audio ozonic.
I have several soft synths and samplers that I rely on and I am trying to decide on building additional PC's to support the loads or to invest in a receptor(s)to provide the additional support.
You answered one of my concerns by saying the receptor works with WinXP x64. My other concerns are:
Will it behave with Sonar 5 64bit version
Will it work with my exisiting soundware, Kontakt 2 is a primary concern.
What is the overall cost to get my soundware into receptor. I can provide a list if you have time to review.
I know that I can build another PC that will do what I want it to and I can load my existing soundware for around $3K. I have no idea how the receptor(s) would compare to this. This would be for studio environment only.
I will continue to research your product and if you could provide me any further suggestions or direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
sincerely
Rick Tucker

If you want to understand better how Receptor works and how it can be integrated with a computer and other studio gear you should check the tutorial videos:
http://museresearch.com/receptor_videos.php
To find out what plug-ins work on Receptor you can go to www.plugorama.com. If you already own some of the plug-ins you intend to use with Receptor you can check the crossgrade policies here:

Finally, I appreciate you praising how quickly I answered. However, I have to tell you that this is a user forum and we do not guarantee a fast response. We try to respond very quickly, but once in a while it may take us a few days. But, the users on this forum are also very helpful so if you don't hear from us, you may hear from them.

I should probably mention, even though it's the title of another thread, that Kontakt is apparently not far away, but currently not available on Receptor.
And Rick - do some reading up on Uniwire - it's a pretty exciting development!
...assuming it actually exists...

OK, I did some reading and placed my order today for a receptor with the 160GB HD upgrade. Also ordered 2-1GB sticks of PC2700 DDR. (Guess I will put the 256MB stick on ebay...Probably be cheaper to throw it in my junk box)
YES, I do want UNIWIRE technology! When the Kontakt 2 and UNIWIRE are available it will be like putting the frosting on the cake...
Thanks,
Rick
