Audio won't render

Hello, I'm new to tracktion as well as Garritan Personal Orchestra, both of which I recently purchased. I can get tracktion to play back midi files via GPO without a problem, but when I try to export into audio it does nothing (supposedly a progress bar should appear... I see one flash briefly showing no progress before going away). To give more information that might help identify the problem, I'm currently using a G4 iBook 1.33 Ghz 512 MB RAM Mac OS 10.4... to get GPO to play through Tracktion I use GPO studio (I thought it would be able to go through GPO directly without GPO studio but I can't get Tracktion to find GPO itself... using studio tracktion plays everything back alright so I assume that's what I'm supposed to do). Any possible reasons? Like I said, the instruments play back fine, I just can't get the midi to convert to audio...
Thanks,

sounds like something might be up with the area you have selected to render ???
set the in / out markers at the start and end of the section you want to render and in the export audio dialogue box make sure 'only render marked region' is enabled ... do you still get no audio file created ???
having said that ... rereading your post again ... is GPO a native VST / AU or does it use a 'bridge' into a standalone application ??? ... if the latter then that could well be the problem ???

You cannot use GPO Studio in Tracktion; it needs a vst. If it didn't install try to find it in the GPO folder. Look for personalorchestra.vst ; you need to drag it to library/audio/plug ins/vst. Then you have to go to settings in Tracktion and do a plugin rescan. Then you should be able to find it with your filters.

Ok, I reinstalled the GPO VST from the GPO disk... now when I try to scan for plug-ins, Tracktion finds it but gives me an error and crashes. Anyone have suggestions?

On the GPO website there is a tutorial for using GPO in Tracktion, so it must work.
Have you tried user support or gone to www.northernsounds.com and asked on the GPO forum?
