I'll confess, the bass on my tune distant shores was a direct rip-off from Paul. (a few other Beatle influences in that one as well)

Dave Holland Quintet - Prime Directive (Dave Holland's the bassist, for those that don't know). The CD version is excellent, but it's truly incredible when performed live. The cut from Extended Play shows a little of this, but the gig I went to last year where they played it was even better, at least for the bass line.

Global Citizen, Free For All, Lost And Found, The Balance, and Metamorphos are other bass line favorites of mine from Holland.

Marcus Miller's bass line on Tom Browne's "Funkin' for Jamaica." Bernie Worrell's synth line on "Flashlight" has already been mentioned. But let us not forget his equally brilliant playing on "Knee Deep." And then there's Herbie Hancock's synth bass on "Butterfly" (remake) from his "Dis is da Drum." Also, ROn Carter's bass on Miles Davis "Footsteps."
