Djsubject,
i have some questions to your MCU-preset for the BCR. Hope you can help me.
In your preset to me it seems you moved the mcu PAGE buttons from BCR's 2. button-row (in Namiheis original BCR-preset) to the group with the 4 buttons on the right, didn't you? This is much better for workflow. Excellent!
What i don't get, is the function of the
1st and 2nd button in the second row. IIRC, the first is now the EDIT button. Let me see, if i understand it's function correctly:
to select a PlugIn, i press the 3rd button in the first row (PLUGIN) and with the arrow buttons, i move to the plugin i want to edit.
Then i press the EDIT button (1st, 2nd row) and in HuskerVU the paramters appear.
With the PAGE-buttons (now on the right side), i can switch through the plugin's paramters.
But i have the impression, the PAGE-buttons do not work always, as i expect it: sometimes i have to press a button several times, to make the next parameter-page in HuskerVU appear.
Is that normal?
And for what is the 2nd button in the 2nd row (the one besides the EDIT button - did you move the FLIP-button from the 4-button-group on this one)?
And what is the FLIP button good for?
What is the functionality of the V-select encoders (group4) good for?
Is the button-functionality in all encoder-group s the same, or do they change?
Is it possible, to select plugins in rack-filters? I'd really like to fine tune Kontakt's sampler-instruments, too.
As a workaround: is there a setting, that HuskerVU shows automatically the paramters of the plugin, i selected on screen with the mouse, not via BCR?
The navigation with BCR's BANK-buttons (and cursor-btns) is very fast and comfortable, but the screen doesn't follow.
Is there a possibility, to make the arrange-screen in T follow always the selected plugin?
What is the functionality of the AUX-button?
Do you have a manual for your BCR preset? (i could find only the BCR-map with the old assignments and this is a very poor documentation).
Is there a possibility to assign more mcu-functions to the free 14 knobs?

Lots of questions
i will do my best
replys in random order (its still erly for me)
groupe 4 is just reset, group 3 is solo, 2 is mute, 1 is select
the right hand buttons are (from the top left down)
bank <-, bank ->,
channel <-, channel ->,
play, stop/return to start,
record, loop,
the row of buttons now goes (from top left)
flip, pan, plugins, automation rec, mark in, mark out, up, zoom
edit, aux, <-marker, marker, marker->, left, down, right,
the top row of rotery controllers are all ways the vpots (thay will controll whatever is selected unless you have flip on)
the next row is the volume controls (unless flip is on, flip will swap vpots & volumes)
the row below the volumes has (starting from the left)
Jog wheel, master volume,
you can read up on using the mcu with Tracktion on mackie's site
hope you have as much fun as i do with husker vue & thease presets

Thank you Subz.

ps: thank you for convincing me to buy the BCR!
What does it do?djsubject wrote: groupe 4 is just reset
clear, clear, clear., group 3 is solo, 2 is mute, 1 is select
with channel you mean the plugin's parameter-page showed in HuskerVU, don't you?the right hand buttons are (from the top left down)
bank <-, bank ->,
channel <-, channel ->,
So flip only exchanges first knob row with the second and has no other effect?play, stop/return to start,
record, loop,
the row of buttons now goes (from top left)
flip, pan, plugins, automation rec, mark in, mark out, up, zoom
edit, aux, <-marker, marker, marker->, left, down, right,

it resets the pan to center panBarbarossa wrote:What does it do?djsubject wrote: groupe 4 is just reset
sort of yes, BUT!Barbarossa wrote:with channel you mean the plugin's parameter-page showed in HuskerVU, don't you?the right hand buttons are (from the top left down)
bank <-, bank ->,
channel <-, channel ->,
bank will chainge the the volumes up or down by 8
EG: you have 18 tracks, press bank up & volumes will jump up by 8 so insted of it being banks 1 to 8 its 9 to 16 press it again it will be 11 to 18,
channels will jump through the vst automatable paramaters of the vst that is select in edit/plugin mode,
again yes but,Barbarossa wrote: So flip only exchanges first knob row with the second and has no other effect?
the top row are what you controll vst paramaters with (unless it is in flip mode) only the second row (the volumes) have feedback to the lights (so when you move volume one with the mouse it should move the lights on the bcr,
if it is in flip mode you can move a paramater that you want to use on a vst & watch the lights as you scroll through the channels (allthough husker viue will do this for you so theres no need to use flip realy (unless you want to see your panning)
PS, i cant check now, but i may have channels & banks explained back to frount
best of luck

Thanks, now i have it.
I didn't understand what FLIP could be good for on the BCR, but for a Mackie Control, with only 8 encoders and 8 faders, it is useful to move parameters, that are on the faders, to the encoders, and vice versa.

how are you getting on with huskervu & the MCU preset?Barbarossa wrote:Welcome & have phun!
if your ready to get a bit deeper there is a way to still use the unused rottery controllers at the bottem in the midi mapper (but you will need two free MIDI (not usb) inputs on your PC, & you will have to use it in S3 mode (witch is using the midi out & midi through at the same time) <the usb outs wont work in this mode>

Good! It is fantastic. Can't wait to make the first mixdown with it.
So far i'm completely satisfied like it is. But if you don't mind, i'd be interested in it nevertheless.

i will explain better when i'm back at my setup
Subz
PS, i'm glad your getting on well with it

i'm considering either the bcr2000 or the bcf2000. to be honest, i'm not really sure of the differences besides the rotary vs. linear controls. i'm also considering getting the bca2000 as an input device. can i run the bca2000 with either of these mcu's without issue?
btw i record mostly acoustic music...thanks
