Running T1 & T2 on the same DAW???

I'm kinda getting fed up with this "audio device has unexpectedly stopped" thing in T2 (never had this problem in T1) and I'm wondering about just going back to T1 until this issue has been resolved.
*I have gone through every contigency I or M-Audio can think of in order to address this issue but it still plagues me... latest drives, "dual drive installation as someone suggested could be the problem...*
I even went and bought a new Audiophile 192 just so it could completely run alongside my system (the "2496" was a few years old anyways).
I'm just wondering, would it be safe to run both programs side by side (not at once obviously). I'd like to see if I can sniff out the problem and perhaps I'll have a better idea if I've got both programs on the same computer. Anyone got an educated opinion on this???

Yes they work together, and when you open new projects, both versions see them, and also some settings apply to both of them. I have not upgraded to T2, have only the demo version but I try it from time to time and it works along with T1.

you say your using M-audio..well i've had this problem with my ozone and ibook.
I presume your using windows but the main solution for me was checking the energy saver option to "never put the computer to sleep"
If left for any length and the ibook went to sleep it would lose the audio device.
Maybe diferent for pci soundcards but I e-mailed m-audio months back and never got a reply.
Some drivers have been better than others the latest one being the most stable for me.
Till recently I had T1 and 2 running on the same drive with no problems.
