Oh, I forgot to say if digi hasn't release the info........then neither can I.

So I have no idea about the 32 charcter (what's a charcter) thing.
hey man i was just kidding around. i have no clue who released the info i posted, and i was probably way worse than you here for continually spreading it. it came up in a TDM forum over there but i still havent seen that thread and who took the liberty of spilling the beans. and that's a lot of beans to spill considering how bare the official press release is.

it was just nice to see someone whose actually tried those features already. thanks for that

I know you were kidding........

but I am a bit miffed at digi........this product is not ready for release, I had no idea that there was all this advertising that it's going to debut on the 7th........

Hey, I just figured that out! 7 on 7th..........gee, how clever......

well i guess let's take this as a word to the wise and not upgrade your pro tools *right* away. i heard that prior to 6.4 most of version 6 was bunk. that's why you still see a ton of studios running 5, it was too risky to go with 6.

Ok, this pisses me off.

AS a beta tester, this "announcement" of feature was not told to us. There was a significant "don't tell" that we all signed and now some of this is common knowledge.

I'll edit a previous post and I'll break some of this down since it's out in the open.
How can you possibly be mad? They provided you, for free, a copy of PT7. There is nothing to be mad about. Be happy to be included in the beta process.

Version 7 on the 7th. Hmmmm? Makes you wonder if this release is 3 months behind schedule.

Well, I have a single so here it is..........big drum roll.......

cpu is now at 99percent instead of 85

That's it. So there is a bit more headroom......but it's nothing to get too excited about.
Huh? I have a G4 single 1.4Ghz and I've always had 99% CPU capability. And yep ... a die hard P.T.L.E. user for years..... but now, I'm running smooth on a different D.A.W.
I'm no beta tester, but know a few people.....and they've told me..... P.T.L.E. 7 for Mac....um...uh...no comment. You can make music with it and it's Still 'LE' limited Edition.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am proud to announce that Elliot Scheiner will be joining us as a guest on the Nuendo Forums.
From Monday September 26th, Elliot will answer any of your questions regarding recording, producing and mixing.
Elliot will stick around for at least a week, but it is impossible to know how much of his free time he will be able to spend over here.

The Guest Forum is open *only* for registered Nuendo users.
There are pre-defined Threads, you are not able to start new threads yourself. Which means that you need to post your question in the appropriate thread.
I reserve myself the right to "filter" the questions asked to Elliot.
Which means that I will remove double and redundant questions, I will also remove all non-relevant stuff, etc...
Elliot is a busy man, so I want this to be clear and structured.

For those who don't know Elliot:

Elliot's talents have been recognized with an astonishing sixteen Grammy Award nominations, five of which he won! Elliot has been awarded two Emmy nominations and three TEC Award nominations. Elliot Scheiner continues to be one of the most sought after producers and engineers in the industry today and is one of the world's leading authorities on 5.1 Surround Sound mixing and DVD audio.

Elliot has produced and engineered an amazing range of talented artists ranging from Beck, Faith Hill, Steely Dan, Sting, Bruce Hornsby, The Eagles, B.B. King, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith and many others. He mixed the IMAX film All Access in surround sound. The film footage includes Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crowe, Macy Gray, Kid Rock, Moby, George Clinton, Mary J. Blige, Al Green, and Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20).

Elliot has a home studio where he mixes most of his surround projects.
The Eyeball Studio, wired by Monster Cable, houses Yamaha MSP10 monitors, a Yamaha SREV1 reverb, Alesis HD-24, dbx 160 SL signal processor, Nuendo DD8, Studio Comm 5.1 monitor controller, and Steinberg’s Nuendo DAW—and along with the DM2000, are all positioned (except monitors) in a custom desk.

Please give the man a warm welcome and show great repect.

Hi Elliot,

How do you handle the "Why don't you use Pro Tools?" question from your cleints? I'm sure it's come up before.... no?

Hi Thonex....Get it all the time. I originally had a pro tools system. Hated it. All I have to say is that Nuendo sounds better and send me broadcast wave files. The key is "It sounds better".

Hey Simon!!!! Well I aint gonna lie, I like P.T.L.E.'s audio editing Way way way better!!!!!!!! Things that took me a few mouse clicks, now take a few minutes! When "7" comes out, I'll probably grab the (yuck USB!) Mbox 2. So I have Pro Tools enviorment I can take stuff up to the big studio in Chicago with easy transfer. But there's a lot of goodies in Logic Pro that I'm just getting use too! :D
