Bad english language.
I've my pc and Traction 1.6 on my PC. A dx7 is the master keyboard (Midi in and out connected on the audio card of the PC).
I launch the song with the spacebar of the keyboard of the PC.
But I want also launch the song with a foot controller (Zoom 8050).
How to do ? Where connect the foot controller ? What is the midi message to send to the PC ?
Help !

midi mechine controll (MMC)
as far as i know (AFAIK)
if you use midi translator you may be able to translate the foot pedel out put to a MMC "play" command
but in short i think it cant be done without a lot of messing about (outside of tracktion)

OK.
An launch the song with a note of my DX ? (some sequencers do that).
For example, the note c10 ?
Because, if I can launch a sequence with a note, maybe I can add my midi patcher (hardware : Yamaha MJC8) to replace the note with my foot controller...
And no possibility that Tracktion become a slave of another sequencer or a drum machine ? Do Tracktion recognize Start and Stop message ?

You need to have a look at this thread to try to achieve what you're trying to do. As yet tracktion's start/stop controls don't respond to midi, but there is a workaround.

Or simply use BOME's MIDI translator to translate any MIDI input into a virtual keypress, and you can make anything MIDI press Tracktion's play or rec buttons:

Fully functional, and it only costs you a postcard to register, too!!

Sadly underpromoted, I think -- it took a long while for someone (forgot who) to point me in the right direction, too.chico.co.uk wrote:Hey, that looks useful. I've missed that in my travels up till now ... cheers
Quick guide: If you intend to use it to translate only some Midi data to keys, and you need other Midi commands to pass through it to another device, you need a virtual midi cable (MidiYoke, Maple, etc.)device to transfer the data.
Make sure you enable "Midi Thru" in MidiTranslator's options, then:
----Midi In-----> (BOME's M.T.) ----Virtual Midi Cable----> (OTHER DEVICE)
