In answer to the question posed in the thread title....
Either everybody, or nobody. These are the only answers that match all rater's opinions with logical and or or functions.

Amen! Although I don't think he'd be pleased with that term, lol. He's got a new one out, eh?Lazarus Machine wrote:bduffy wrote:Wicked book! I'd say Kurt Vonnegut's most underrated, if not his best!
You know, i feel KV is one underrated author. He deserves world domination!

...first some muppet points the finger at Nirvana - and now The Stooges have popped up here.
Un-f**king-believable... do you people have ears? For-f**k-sake, go steal a copy of Fun House then tuck your tail between your legs and report back here.
I've also seen the Beatles mentioned a couple of times. Now, don't get me wrong, i'm not a big Beatles fan; but when it came to studio wizardry: they wrote the book.
Go steal a copy of Revolver - don't bother listening to it all the way through (most of it's shyte), just skip straight to the last track: "Tomorrow Never Knows". This was released in 1966. I repeat, 1966. And for a third time (just in case that didn't sink in), 1966.
For a perspective on their work as song writers check out Howard Goodall's apraisal: http://www.channel4.com/culture/microsi ... ennon.html

Yo!
At the risk of turning this into a JP22-esque thread, I will say only this to those who think The Beatles are overrated:
Sure, there have been, are, and will be extremely talented composers/musicians/singers/song-writers, but know this: When God created The Beatles, he broke the mould.
BTW, now that we’re at it, how’sabout Elvis? Overrated or rated right?
[Just love a good arfuement]

God isn't overrated, it's just the Christians, Muslims, and Jews that are.

Christians must be the most overrated. I think Muslims are probably underrated, if anything, these days.

Nah. I mean, everyone tends to give them this whole "OMG! MUSLIMS! LOCK UP YOUR CHILDREN!" type of mythos.. but it's all bullshit. They're basically Christians on the rag.bduffy wrote:Christians must be the most overrated. I think Muslims are probably underrated, if anything, these days.

does this whole god thing make satan under rated then? because it was already pointed out, he is a decent hockey player
what about john cage and david tudor -
tudor = under rated
cage = ?(comon arguments please)
at least everyone relatively agrees that eminem is overrated and there's been some mention of phillip glass so that's all that this thread really needed.
