I've also seen the Beatles mentioned a couple of times. Now, don't get me wrong, i'm not a big Beatles fan; but when it came to studio wizardry: they wrote the book.

Go steal a copy of Revolver - don't bother listening to it all the way through (most of it's shyte), just skip straight to the last track: "Tomorrow Never Knows". This was released in 1966. I repeat, 1966. And for a third time (just in case that didn't sink in), 1966.

At the risk of turning this into a JP22-esque thread, I will say only this to those who think The Beatles are overrated:

Sure, there have been, are, and will be extremely talented composers/musicians/singers/song-writers, but know this: When God created The Beatles, he broke the mould.

BTW, now that we’re at it, how’sabout Elvis? Overrated or rated right?

what about john cage and david tudor -
tudor = under rated
cage = ?(comon arguments please)

at least everyone relatively agrees that eminem is overrated and there's been some mention of phillip glass so that's all that this thread really needed.
