T2 doesn't find My Waves Diamond 5.2 at startup, I have to scan for new plugins first at every startup, or manually before It's available..
Anyone had this problem and know how to solve it?

there is no workaround AFAIK!
the waves plugins that i tested did not put dll's in the vst folder just a window dll that linked to the waves plugins
intill waves make there bundle all dll files that go in your vst folder thay will allways need to be rescaned

My Waves Diamond is in its own folder not the vsti one and it dosent scan every time like in T2.
Using Sonar5 or 4 dosent have this problem, dont know why T2 does either.

sonar is Direct x & would be using the direct x vershions of the plugins (witch wouldent need scanning)Stairsteps wrote:My Waves Diamond is in its own folder not the vsti one and it dosent scan every time like in T2.

other hosts have a smart scan system witch in cases like this would only reload the waves plugins on every boot

Some do. I dont understand why DX wrappers cant just pass PDC. It would make things much easier.djsubject wrote:LBN wrote:Someone suggested wrapping the DX version with FFX-4:

try this: make a copy of your waves shells (i use 4.0.1 so the situation may be different with version 5). take the copies and place them in the tracktion plugins folder and rescan. i have to use both 4.0.1 and 4.3 dll's. it works for me fine. but version 5 may be different. i don't know. i don't want to buy the new stuff, i don't need it. i would like to have L3 though.
but it's just not worth buying at this point because the version 4 stuff works perfectly for me.
anyway... try that. put the waveshell dlls in the tracktion 2 plugins folder and clear and rescan.
let us know what you get!
