I have no opinion on IIRs' signature, but doesn't this KVR rule negate the whole argument (and past/future such arguments):

Nobody has had to convince me that I'm naturally evil. I have known it all along. I knew it as a child, and I know it now. I'm smart enough to know my beliefs and I have very strong reasons for believing. I've seen and experienced things that have no justification except for there being a higher being that is in charge. Science can't explain these things. And no intelligent person has been able to negate them.

So the worst part about all this is that it's an insult to those of us who aren't extremist and who actually excercise logic, and make our decisions to believe intelligently. Mentally ill? Hardly.

I have found for me that faith works. You have found that it doesn't work for you. I've came to my conclusion with all the same intelligence as you have, or anyone else on either side. I have NO PROBLEM with you as a person IIR. In fact, I have much respect for you here on this board, and that won't change. But your signature implies that I'm ignorant and that's utter crap.

I've been on a few religious disputes here at KVR, and not a single time have they gotten anywhere. This one won't be any different. Yes, I argue and contribute. But it doesn't change your mind, nor will my mind change. Really useless way to kill some time, that's all.

While I know you're kind of saying all that tongue in cheek, and kind of seriously, it doesn't make a counter to my one main point. Yes, you may not believe for the same reasons that I believe. You may feel you're right, and that's fine with me. But THE ONE POINT HERE is that just because in your mind you justify your belief doesn't make me mentally ill, or ignorant. It just makes us different in our beliefs. That's my point here, plain and simple. And yes, I have evidence that I'm not mentally ill. That CAN'T be negated, period.

And woolyloach, you take the fact that people aren't perfect as an account against there being a God. But that argument is full of holes, considering going back(at least in Christianity) to why people were created in the first place, and why they were given free will. It doesn't make God lame, nor does it say anything negative about Him. It just makes us humans imperfect, regardless of what you believe. God didn't make anyone do these things.

I'm done. I gotta go to work. No more arguing for me. I doesn't matter on this particular forum whether you believe or not. And talking about it here won't get anything done.
