I don't think you're correct on this one, the modeling of the Guitar- and TonePorts is done inside the hardware. That's why you can use them regardless of higher latencies.Funkybot wrote: Toneport will basically work like Guitarport only it will also do bass and pre-amp sounds. So basically it's a pre-amp and instrument input with modeling to get a particular sound as you record. The modeling will be done via your CPU

Sacha, I am afraid I have to agree with funky on this one. TonePort is just an I/O interface basicly and a dongle to the software on the PC. Exactly like GuitarPort.

See my last post about the 80-ish look and ART MIDI pedals, which I posted at the same time
I thought the same when I saw your post after sending mine!

.. i SO hope for the IK bass plugin, as my superfave basssound is also a preset of Amplitube 1.Lunch Money wrote:.. because of the Ampeg plug-in also being released by
but weren´t there rumors that there are legal kind of problems (or something like this) in releasing this bass plug?
my feeling is that we won´t see it .. i hope i am wrong.
i am really unsure now if i´ll really go for AT2, as i now can upgrade my NI Komplete 2 to version 3, which would also include Guitar Rig 2.
hmmm ...
maybe i´ll at least wait for the first AT2 demo-mp3´s after NAMM ..

This sucks...I want to hear some sound samples from AT2 because if I buy AT1 now and get the free upgrade to AT2 and I don't like it, I am stuck with both. If I decide to sell, then I have to pay a 99$ transfer fee! This is simply insane.
IKMM, we want samples!!!

I haven't heard about the legal stuff, putte, but it wouldn't surprise me if the plug-in's being held up. Otherwise, we'd have heard more about it by now I'm sure.
I had a listen to the GR2 demo songs on their website, and they're OK-ish. I'd definitely use that plug-in for my hobbyist-type stuff without any fear of it sounding like crap. But there was still something I didn't love about the demos...
Maybe the compression they used? I dunno!

hmm...the GR2 demos still sound flat and plastic to me. It is better than GR1 seemed to be and it's not that god awful washed out metalic tone from AT1. But I still don't care for it much.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I think 'politics' is the right word as one meaning is 'Based on or motivated by partisan or self-serving objectives: a purely political decision.' according to dictionary.computte wrote:.. i cant recall it, but there was something. sorry, ma native language isnt english, so probably the words "legal" and "politics" dont really fit in here. hmm ..
