Greetings all,
I just bought a Novation X-Station today and I'm having trouble getting the audio and midi of x-station to function properly within tracktion. It seems to be fine with reason and various stand alone vsts, but not with tracktion. Has anyone had experience with this and possible send some advice my way?

On my PC, it was this:
Download the latest X-Station driver, be sure it shows up as "X-Station ASIO driver" in the "Wave device" drop-down list on Tracktion's setting page, enable the audio inputs and outputs on both the Wave and the MIDI lists on the setting's page.
Tom
Oh, and you know the X-Station has to be in the MIDI mode (I have it on "Generic 12, General Midi.")

I have X-Station too and it works flawlessly on my Mac. What problems are you having?

After sleeping on it I realized that earlier I did have the x-station working as both a midi and audio controller, but when I added in my Edirol pcr30 which I've been using with Tracktion for the last couple of years I had problems. So I'm thinking I may have to reinstall both control surfaces and reinstall. I always assumed I'd be able to use both controllers at the same time, not nessecarily simutainiously but both ready to use. I addition to recording experiments I've been using Tracktion as a live host for live performances and it is useful to have two keyboards loaded with two different vst instruments. Previously I was using the ediol along with a non-usb keyboard quite well, the second keyboard was port in through the edirol via midi.

You should be able to use both as midi sources but only one audio device driver at a time. Be sure that windows isn't using either controllers for its midi. That can cause issues.

Hi littlenemo...
It should all work. I've had as many as five input devices working at once in Tracktion. Be aware that the X-Station uses usb OR midi, not both at the same time.
EDIT: Hi, Beno--you posted about the same time as me. "It should all work" refers to what littlenemo said--he should be able to do what he wants to do.
Enjoying my first cup of coffee...

Thank you both! I'll report back once I get a chance to try it out again...

I found out the Traction problem. In the settings area there is a controllers section and apparently unless it is a Mackie device it isn’t supported, even though the x-station appeared in the list, but this was more likely it was auto populated as a choice. What was happening was when I pressed a keyboard key on the x-station controller the view would change, or enlarge the track view, etc. After leaving that controller selection blank everything returned to normal.
