Does anyone know how to convert the mapping of battery kits (.kit) to LM4 formate so I can use them with Velocity instead?

Post

Bump ... can no one help? :(

What do you mean by "use them with velocity instead"?

I want to use the Battery studio kits I have with Velocity (which comes with P5) rather than in Battery

Oh, so "Velocity" is an instrument. Didn't know that.

Velocity reads LM4 files, so the issue is really that I want to convert to that format.

Post

Does it read any other formats as well? You know, LM4 is pretty oldskool and there's not much to do about it anymore, I don't think any of the developers of the wellknown converters (ESC, Translator, CDxtract) would spend any work to implement such an old format.

No - it seems that Cakewalk didn't want to spend the money on licensing for Project5! It only takes its own propiretory formnat or LM4.

if all else fails just amp them yourself...battery kits have the av/aif file accessible in the samples folder of each kit

im not sure but I think battery can "save as lm-4" the kits...although i could be wrong I never tried and am not at my regular computer
