i want to be able take a clip and glide between the original pitch and one lower or higher. i can automate something like this with madshifta, but i want a resample method, where the pitch and speed are dependent on each other, rather than just a pitch shift method. any ideas how to do this in tracktion? i guess it would have to be destructive, which is fine. i tried that tapestop plugin, but it's not what i need. audition has this feature, but i don't feel like exporting to audition all the time.

Don't know about Tracktion, never used it. But you can do this very easy in Fruity Loops 5 with the wave traveller plugin. FWIW

Not natively within Tracktion, I don't think. My only guess would've been using ramped tempo, but I tried a few different things with ramped tempo and no good. Tracktion's destructive editing is limited to: normalize, reverse, change sample rate, and trim silence. Nothing to be had in there.
Regarding Audition, though-- it's a seamless integration, so if you're already willing to let it be destructive, why not use Audition, launched from within Tracktion? Makes your life much easier.

yeah, i tried tapestop, but it's not what i need.
yeah, i'd like to open stuff in audition and do it that way, but tracktion won't share the drivers with audition or something, so it's pretty useless. in any case, it'd just be nice to be able to do it natively in tracktion.

assuming you are using asio drivers in Tracktion, you should be able to set audition to use DX drivers, at which point the two will play nicely together.

What valley said. Since Audition's an editor, you can use pretty much any driver other than the ASIO driver and get identical results.

I have Audition as a link from within Tracktion, for when I need to do fine cuts. This works a treat and I think this would be the best way to go - especially since you already have both softwares.
