Tracktion Software

Hello to all, can anyone recommend a solid useable reverb plugin for vocals in Tracktion 2 (OSX)? I tried the wavearts masterverb, but it sounded too metallic and seemed to really color the signal. Thanks.

Glaceverb is another contender - but reverbs tend to be very personal.

Smartelectronix Ambience is OSX compatible I think. And its donationware. Definitely worth a try.

i like Luxonix reverb in the free one they make its very open sounding and not very harsh.

I have nothing but problems using it in Tracktion.

Back on topic though, I am pretty happy with SpinAudioRoomverb.

The built-in T reverb can actually be pretty useful, depending on what you're after. For ambience with a lower wet level, it sounds pretty good. When pushed, it gets kinda metallic, but sometimes I like that (like for dub snare explosions).

I'm liking the little I've heard of the Glaceverb. Very easy to use, and lite on resources. Smartelectronix Ambience is a real hog (though it may be good...it's just too cpu hungry to be useable for me). The Anwida verb is also lite on cpu usage. As is pianoverb.

I like Ambience, but it is a real CPU hog. You can adjust that though. Never had any problems except when I push it too far and it overloads.

Silverspike has a number of reverbs including the free Room Machine 844.

TC Native Reverb was pretty good but they seem to have discontinued it:

The Altiverb demos are really nice. It's a convulution reverb (one of the few available for the Mac) - it sounds great but it's pretty pricey. A real CPU hog too , from what I can gather.

Black Water Reverb is a nice free basic reverb but it may not have the quality your after.

Good to know. I've not played with it much, just saw it spike my cpu usage meter!

Ambiance works fine for me on OSX and tracktion but it sounds rather harsh as does the one built into T2:shrug:
i do like some other stuff thats out there also and i am thinking about someday buying some reverbs that will build my sound up some more. this is the best reverb unit i have though. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1147.html
