I am curious if I have a reverb (on an instrument going forward ) if I reverse, will it reverse the reverb filter (plug)as well ?

no. your reverb will swell and decay as it normally would, only the sound it is spatializing happens to be played backwards.chance11 wrote:I am curious if I have a reverb (on an instrument going forward ) if I reverse, will it reverse the reverb filter (plug)as well ?
If you want backward reverbs then render the reverb to an audio file and reverse that.

I'd love to see this FR happen as well. Would be crazy useful.

Reverse reverb? reverse delay? Hitting the chord on an acoustic at the very start of a song and reversing it so it wooshes into the start of the tune? I hate to use the C-word, but I use tracktion for tracking, then I use Cubase LE to mix, so all reversing, fading in/out and other arranging gets done on there. Anyway, the only FR i can think of for Tracktion is an alarm to tell you you've spent 8 hours on an edit and you should probably get some sleep.Lunch Money wrote:I'm actually with aldi on this one-- why is this such a much-needed feature? Just out of curiousity, what are all y'all using reversing for? I keep imagining reversed guitar solos or reversed, layered, then built up vocals... both of which are getting pretty old as far as techniques go. So what am I missing? Obviously something...!

But it's a trick. Tricks aren't 'much-needed' features. I can think of a zillion things that are cool things to do, but they don't all necessarily need to be part of the host.
My point wasn't, "What does reversing do?" I use reversing myself. The point was, "Why are people SO eager for this as an easy-to-get-to gimmick?"
Besides, I believe on page 2 I said, "OK, OK... fair enough, I'd use this" or something to that effect. No more picking on me! Mercy! I'd use it, I'd use it!
