It's really not too much of pain for the time being, 'cause I don't need to really render it yet. I was just playing with rendering that specific track to lighten my cpu usage. I imagine I could record the part again even (it ain't much but a little lick). I thought, though, that I should try to figure out what was going on in case it happened again. Seems like a little quirk that pops up in T2 every now and then. In fact, I'm going to open it in T1 and see what happens!
If this persists, though, I like the idea of transfering it to my laptop. That's very doable!

mine was in t1 and t2,,,,now that I look at it, it was a little different problem...I couldnt get simply the midi to transfer.
I was trying to render a sfz drumset, but my setup at the time, was not powerful enough to do it without alot of problems. My goal was to transfer a midi file (no filter or anything) to the laptop.
What I had to end up doing was saving the edit as a new edit, and remove all the audio. I then saved again and moved the whole tracktion edit to the laptop.
Render into midi would do nothing for me.

hmm. Is it a large soundfont? Does rendering work with a different one?

Rendering did work with other tracks, but those were audio tracks, not sfz tracks. I'll try another sfz track...
...just tried, and it worked fine for an sfz played soundfont of similar size (40MB).

Do you have any soundfont editing software? Perhaps you could extract the patch you are using into a new sf2 file..?

I find sfz to be very flaky. Did you try DFD mode?

In the meantime, I did learn that when I disable the PianoVerb plug, it renders just fine.

Got rid of sfz altogether and used a different plug to generate piano (mda piano)....same issue.
The bug seems to clearly lie in the PSP PianoVerb plug.

I recently had a render issue as well (making a MIDI file, though, not an audio file) and discovered that a weird plug-in anywhere on the path (including the track OR the master area) can affect the render. So, it's worth checking all the plug-ins. Let me try a render with PianoVerb and see what happens.
[edit] -- A track with Pianoverb on it still rendered OK.
Do you have a dual-monitor setup? If so, there's a trick that will give us an inside-peek into the track.

I could go grab my second monitor (and 2nd video card) from the shed, where my old old computer has been relegated, but I don't think it's worth it.

It didn't matter even when I stopped using sfz and tried a different sound source (say, mda piano), so I don't think it's sfz, or the sf2. Thanks for asking though.
I'll install the new version of T2 tonight. We'll see if that fixes it...even if it doesn't, I now have an easy work around.
