A) I don't have any problems with tits. In fact, I love them. I *do* however have problems with companies thinking some ultra cheap WAY below average looking plastic titty girl would make me buy any software.
B) I don't have problems with a natural latency of 3-5ms. But in a software monitoring setup these are doubled. So 3ms are 6ms after all.
Plus, they're added to the "natural" latency. So, instead of standing 5m away from my amp I'm all of a sudden standing 10m away. And yes, this is annoying.

Fritz - I'm with you. I have exactly zero interest in supporting greasy low life types who can not sell product without aiming to a 15 year olds developmental level. Many will say as some here "whats wrong with that?" Well I have no issue with sex but this is just poor taste, poor choice and poor skill. IKM really aught to get their heads out of the gutter.

dean had those bay series, the baby z, the belair (which was a smaller convoluted strat type body), the baby v, back in the 80's. Before that Deans were real expensive and had those huge headstocks. Dean I believe got bought out and then they released the above mentioned guitars. Those guitars were always shown with girls in bikinis and such and was a real disapointment imo. Given the fact they they kinda vanished and those guitars didn't do well, it might not of been that good. Later in the 90's Dean re-emerged on the seen (but not dean except by name only...I forget who imports them)...whether he hired hookers I have no clue, but they did use girls in the mid to late 80's advertising those guitars...fritzman wrote:I'm not sure if it was the Dean guitars story but I once was told that on a NAMM there have been "some girls" that grabbed you and said "Come on, you WANT a ... guitar!" Buahhhh ...Funkybot wrote:Nah, I'm not married, but none of the girls I've dated would have a problem with the picture of the girl from the Amplitube site either. It's no more than you see at the beach for instance. Now if you wanna hear an offensive girl/guitar related story, did you ever hear about the time the guy from Dean guitar's brought hookers with him to NAMM to help get some attention to his products? Now that's pretty bad.Würg. If that would have happened to me and my wife would have been besides me she would have smakked the "some girl" seriously.
And right she is. Well, maybe not fully but ...

Sascha, myself, I tried latencies up to 7ms using headphones and Amplitube1 demo, and I didn't notice any lag, or did it hinder my playing performance nor did it feel weird. I don't think that with a USB device, lower than 3ms is to be expected ( even 3ms is a bit too extreme, I would say more like 5ms ).I don't have problems with a natural latency of 3-5ms. Midi works, if you have a driver using both user mode and kernel mode and the user part crashed, then yes, there will be no sound. Thus by making the driver kernel only, you have one less chance of not hearing your audio. But if your host application crashed, than the sound will stop being processed, because it is the user mode app that appies the DSP to the sound. If windows truely crashes ( blues screen ) than nothing can make your sound continue to play. I agree with you though that it is a bit unprecise to say that the sound will continue playing even if windows crashes.

All this talk about tits...
It's a young women in a bikini... so what? get over it.
Tasteless? Yes
But who cares?
By the way I have no problem with my wife or teenage daughters looking at this site.
I am sure they saw worst while surfing the web.
Bottom line if AT2 is bad this will not help.
And if AT2 is great I will buy it even if they offended me with their model.

Personally, I can't get away with 7ms, especially when using headphones and/or recording.A3ntar wrote: Sascha, myself, I tried latencies up to 7ms using headphones and Amplitube1 demo, and I didn't notice any lag, or did it hinder my playing performance nor did it feel weird.
Values between 5-10ms are all about making your timing "in the pocket", laid back or early.

So I question why would they ignore the group that generally is more likely to be able to afford more gear. I wonder if the models are saying they dont have 100% confidence in the product. I wonder if perhaps they already have cut some corners...corners that some younger people wont find.
I'm not saying I rule a company out for advertising like this, but it does give me more questions. Like fritz, I have a young daughter...
So who cares? I do, I dont like companies that assume were all the same, it also makes one wonder where their stance is on homosexuality...do they not want gay men buying their gear...are they only for macho boys? Or artists? Or better everyone...

Now the real question is, did IKMM marketing department think "whoa! Amplitube 2 sounds so good...man, it is not even modeling, it is super modeling!!! ...Oh, and btw, let's use a super model as a play on words for that super modeling"I think you guys missed the "super modeling" ( as in super model ) play on words
that is a good point...
...OR...
"whoa! that super model has some nice bosoms...man, their not even regular bosoms, they are super hooters !!! We have to use 'super modeling' and a picture as a an hommage for these milk-bags......Oh, and btw, we have a new product coming soon...AT2 is it? let's use that on the website.....................Man, what a huge set of tatas!..."

.. i bet we reached the point where the IK dudes are watching this thread with pure amusement as we´re now into discussing tits and girls and bikinis, instead of asking for mp3´s or the actual release of AT2.
okay okay, there´s also some talk about latency ..
