I guess Gibson still need to do advertising, I mean... if they didn't, then how many bands like Sum 41 or Blink 182 would use Ibanez instead

but the enlightened one can learn a lot from those 41 pages...there's a lot of good info in it...however tbh there is slim to no chance I will buy it, but I am the better for reading and participating in this thread and others like it...but I like my guitar being processed outside of my pc. After years of analog I really don't have a problem running POD 2.0 outputs into my dps12 which I just use as a digital mixer these days....like I said before the loss likely would be harder to notice then the problems (latency and cpu useage) caused by adding more work for the pc, not too mention easier to fix....

Same here! I will not buy for many reasons. Including those you listed. Besides I want a real amp -oops I said that already.

I've already bought it, well AT1, which I'll then freely upgrade to AT2 later. I might even get the pedal at some stage.

It's like this. I'm not the worlds best guitarist, most of the time I'm just playing Tool riffs or Toolesque riffs of my own. I'm a complete junky for that band, I can't explain it! Maybe the Christians are right!

But yeah. I bought a VOX Valvetronix recently, and it's a gorgeous amp. It's real tube technology (lol???) with digital amp modelling, I get a nice AC30 tone from it, but I can also go uber-death-metal-lolz-lolz-faghagz-lolz if I really want.

As long as AT2 can do the same thing, I'll be happy. I'm not really one for purism in the sense that I'm not looking for accurate modellings of vintage gear. I'm just after phat sounds.

I've heard AT1. I like it's sound. AT2 has to sound better.

trust me andrew I would never suggest that someone else doesn't buy it...you know what you like and that's all that matters...remember there were a few that felt they needed to give me grief for buying AVOX. But it hasn't changed how much I enjoy it...

I will asume it's a sampler (BFD or alike).
But tell us how do you go about programing it?
Is it midi files and you take it from there?... or do you use some drum pads?

thanx for your "free thoughts". I don't call it a problem, I call it a family and I do care about it. And yes, that's my life.

And no, it's IK's loss. I can live without giving my money to them. But they need customers. If they turn off potential customers like that then it's their loss.

P.S. You know, I've got choice. GR2, GTR, Soundspectral might become one, too. I already own a 90% satisfying solution: POD. So I'm not under any pressure to buy a product that to me is still nothing but inaudible and has a poor advertisement campaign. "Watch that sexy AT2 trailer!" Man, I would love to HEAR some good audio demos. Did I say that before?

Heaven forbid your family see anything from the real world. I'm not trying to be a c**t, just offering my opinion from an outside perspective. I think you're being a little too protective.

How old are your kids? They live on planet Earth, correct? So do you prevent them from playing with Barbie dolls and Action man? Do you turn off the TV every time Britney Spears or 50-Cent are on it. Do you advocate mobile phones at the age of eight?

I'd just like to understand where you're coming from man. We live in a pretty poo society where people like 50-Cent are the role models that the post-church God (Read: TV) gives kids today. Flick on any music channel and chances are you'll come across a Nelly video with twelve women shaking their marginly covered assholes at the camera, or you'll come across some fake ass band like Franz Ferdinand who end up teaching kids that it's cool to pay more attention to your looks than your brains.

I find it a little odd that after all that influencing your kids (whether that's now or in another four years) you're going to base a purchase on a trashy trailer.

I dunno.. maybe it's because I'm not a parent, all I know is I would make sure my kid knew that he or she had a choice in what they liked and what they thought was cool, that they didn't have to go with the flow and that they didn't have to like what their friends like.
