Need To Delete Files

Has the problem been addressed regarding the ability to delete files? I have about 3GB I'd love to delete from my Native Instruments folder, the GMedia music folder entierly etc...

Since Receptor's internal HD is not that big it would be great to clear up any free space possible.

Anyone have any tricks on how to do this. (These files can not be accessed from the library/patch manager.)

Could you be more specific as to which files you need removed? You don;t need to list all the files, just in which folder they are located.

Samples/Native Instruments/Kompakt/Library/Instruments (or multis)

AND

Samples/GMEDIA Music <want to remove entire folder or all samples inside.

Actually, I'd appreciate the ability to do this as well, especially considering I CAN'T get a reply from the Australian rep for Muse regarding upgrading my harddrive...

We have a little installer/fixer that will allow you to delete files and folders in Samples. You need to contact support.

If you want to delete the entire Kompakt/Library folder and its content, that would free 2.2 GB of disk space. If you delete just the Instruments and/or th multi folder, you gain 300+ MB, which is not a lot, but you also mess up Kompakt.

I strongly recommend that if you are using the Kompakt library you leave it alone. If you don't care about the entire Kompakt library, then it makes sense to delete it completely.

Hi Dan,

Got the file. Worked great. I was able to open up 7GB of space.

I'd like you to know I am TOTALLY impressed with how you guys run your company. Great and honest contact with users. I have a lot of faith in Muse Research.

how did you get the file? Can you send it to me into my e-mail? Or on which e-mail address did you ask for this? I am from Czech Republic so I don´t want to spend money for phone call into USA ...
