Nice! Your plug-ins make it even more fun working with Tracktion!
I really liked the midi-implementation though...Not that I´m a karaoke guy but it was nice syncing lyrics with the music etc. Now with images shifting to the music you could really get into the right mood...

don't you worry asha, midi support is going to be back in there- that's the most important feature to make this plug worthwhile in my eyes
i'm just getting everything in it working properly before i link the functions to midi messages so that it doesn't get too messy.
@rock - i did have a look, although i couldn't get it to run! so many dll's and yet one was missing
. I'm not sure that i'm likely to put any kind of parsing into this version... if i do, it will be very much later when i've finished my other projects because that will take some time to get right. at the moment what i'm doing doesn't take much work so i can do odd bits here and there.

Here's a sample chord group with one measure per line...
The little app converted it to this...
Here's a web page with some working results in an animated screen shot (2 meg file sorry)
Hope that gets the idea across...

This plugin is really great Haydxn. I can completely stop recording settings and methods with scraps of paper now.

Although I'm sure that such a simple and yet effective plug-in needs no explanation, here's a little tip on how I used it in its 2X incarnation:
I was collaborating with another forumite on a song (not finished yet... hold tight!.. I know you're just dying of anticipation) in which he was working on a drum part. After a lot of e-mails back and forth, he was "this" close to having worked everything out exactly how I needed/wanted it, but there were a few teeny changes I wanted to hear first before 'signing off'.
"Aha!" methinks, "TrackPad2X will do the trick nicely!"
I play the song back, and each time In my head I think of an 'explanation' or 'note' that could fit in, I put a new MIDI note into clip, and also a Trackpad page. So, when he was playing back the song, he'd SEE on the screen:
"OK, right here, the fill is perfect, but then coming up...."
(new page)
"...HERE, it seems to lose momentum. Could we keep up the energy for a measure longer?"
and so forth. The notes were much easier to follow, I think, when they appeared in conjunction with events in the song, compared to just writing "at 1:10, I feel..." or whatnot. Now, in this case, we're both Tracktion users, but it would work with ANY collaboration... all he needed was my copy of the MIDI file (making sure to export right from measure 0 for easy lining-up) and the .fxp with the text.
Worked perfickly.
Then, I was cleaning up a 'scratch' project and I decided that my rendered guitar part was good enough and that I could do away with the raw guitar part instead. I looked at the edit with the raw guitar part, and saw that I had "Rednef Twin at default settings, SD-1 at 2-8-5", so I put this info into a TrackPad page and put the plug-in into the clip itself (rather than the whole track) since those settings weren't necessarily for the whole track, but were rather for just that one clip.
Any number of uses for this thing. Once it's up and running with full MIDI capacity again, I can't imagine having a single project without it.

hey chaps, a small update
- memory leaks you may have been unaware of have been killed
- images are now only resized if they need to be. the first time you display an image, it will be sized to fit into the panel- this takes a moment to happen. if the size of the panel has not been changed since the image was last displayed, it doesn't need to be resized. before, whenever you changed to an image page, it took a moment to recalculate the size, even if it didn't need to. this now only happens when necessary.
- there are little indicators under the buttons (just dots for now) to show whether or not there is any data of that type stored in the current page. if you right-click the button it will clear that data. at the moment the indicators only update when the page has been reloaded.
that's all for now..

Another update.
Now the panels have an adjustable split, so you can choose how much text/image you want visible for each page.
Download TrackPAD3 alpha5

Great work haydxn!
At some point, have you thought about making it follow the song and change from one text/image/chord to another, and then to another, and so on?
I mean, have it correlate with the host tempo, and have them change just like timestamped MIDI events.
Has alot of potential, and would be really useful for all those who are a bit intimidated by all this hi-tech DAW stuff contra just sitting with a guitar.

well, that's what the old one did, and is what this one will do eventually. rather than following the song, it will respond to MIDI note messages to change the page. this means that you have to program in the midi on the track, but it really is easy. also, you can copy/paste the clip and have it repeat the sequence at different stages in the song. i'd considered using time/position information, but there's no practical way of doing it so that it's easy to use, and it's absolutely 500% more intuitive to have it simply respond to midi notes.
