Shuzhen, that's what the original Trackpad2X does. You can 'score' the page changes with MIDI.

Haydxn is definitely going to add that feature back in, he's just beta-testing the new features first, and then he'll add back in the missing components. As said earlier in the thread, the MIDI page-changes are HIS main use for the plug. You can bet they'll be back. :D

Also, on this very page in my description of what it's used for, I refer to MIDI-controlled page changes. ;)

Ahh Nice! Now with midi-support and everything this thing will be one of the most frequently used plug-ins I think... :)

A really minor thing. I would prefer to have only the textbox (not with chords as it is now) on a new page as the default setting...or maybe I´m just to lazy?... :D

Post

Well, that's pretty lazy. <laff> Just disable the chord, press the handy "default" button to make this the default, and you're done. ;) It took you more time to write that post than it would to set 'text only' as the default view for 20 instances. :D

Come to think of it...

When I ran, mine was plain text by default already.

The only thing missing for me (and not even 'missing' really, since I loved 2X already!) is for the scalable window to scale the chord shape widget thingy horizontally as you scale vertically.

Whoops!

Thanks Lunch Money! :)

This is really great, I've been quietly waiting for the MIDI control update. Trackpad is one of my favourite (and soon, most used) utility plugins. Thanks a lot for the update haydxn.

I dig this the most, daddy-o. Guitar chords will help me!

Post

I mentioned it earlier, but: I even used the MIDI page-flipping to animate the chord diagrams for tricky rhythms. Guess I could do it for solos, too, but I haven't yet. That's a lot of work. :D

i personally dont have much of a problem here but its kind of hard to manage all these trackpads... i mean keep downloading the beta's and keeping all the old ones just in case you have an older archive that is using 1.9?

im asking would it be able to work fine if we just loaded everything through the latest ver, just renaming it to trackpad each time?

what i mean is are these newer versions able to work with the previous ones

Just a heads-up, though-- Despite seeming leaner, TrackPad 2 has some bugs that Alpha3 does not. ;) I can't remember the exact circumstances, but TP2 does something stee-range with automation or summat. I'm trying to remember. I just remember that it was fuXorZed up.

the alpha 3 seems to have trouble "Remembering" the stuff I type in when I reopen a particular session. No idea why. Doesn't seem to do it another song I have.
