Fritz, I think you have a fan: "boogooloo1"
I think you're right. Maybe it is a language barrier. I know too because I make these mistakes. Anyways, let us not waste more time discussing stuff that just help feed the fire...Let us discuss boobies and titties instead!
Just kidding!
Btw, speaking of boobies, man, my 9 years old daughter was watching a video clip on T.V., pop music I think ( something about junk, trunks, and humps), it was on a kid's show. Wholly crap! I seen soft porno movies with scenes less erotic than that! I asked my daughter to move into the living room to read a book, and I continued watching the video clip myself! LOL...

I think at the end of the day, if you recognise advertising for what it is, then you're more empowered to ignore it.
If you take it at a base level as just a pair of tits, then you're missing the point of the advert.
Ok. It's a girl. She's got big tits, smooth looking legs, a suggestive smile. She's there to make the guys go hot under the collar.
Now... if you recognise this, you're then able to look past it. "Ok, well if she's there to make me go hot under the collar, then why? To hide badness in the product? To appeal to a certain group?"
You can make decisions bad off of your recognition of the lack of taste.
If however you think "FFS... They're trying to use tits to sell something yet again" ... well, then you're gonna immediately think "Ok! I'm not buying that!!"
And that response isn't any different to getting hot under the collar. It's just the polar opposite of what they wanted you to think in the first place.
Questioning is the only way to get around advertising. It isn't enough to judge it on face value. You have to look underneath the bonnet and find out why they chose that angle.
Of course this is just my perception. This is just my conjecture. But hey, it's worked for me so far. I've been able to make good decisions on products by just stepping back and asking "why" instead of fitting an archetype (in this instance there are two, the bawdy metalhead who loves tits, or the newage guy who finds it dispicable to use looks to sell something)
PS: I have to say, she isn't all that attractive. Typical blonde.. nothing outstanding in the slightest. Really not worth 51 pages!

On a completely different note, I'm very interested in what the octaver will sound like. I tried out an electro-harmonix octaver the other week. Very nice and the tracking was very good. Hope this one matches up!

Although the ad ended up taking a big chunk of the thread, we got some decent info on AT2, some latency information as well, some laughs, some frictions, some old memories...

Yeah, it was a global reset awhile back. I've been mostly a lurker since then.Squids wrote: Thanks MikeM. For some reason it looks like you've only posted 10 times but we know that can't be true. Actually, I reset mine at one point (or Ben did to all of us) but sadly I climbed right back up there (probably would have been double... so good thing he reset me or you'd know REALLY how crazy I am for coming here! lol).
And this thread is starting to sound like a Python sketch: "I'd like to complain about people who complain about people who complain...." [Cue 16-ton weight]
"I'm intolerant of people who are intolerant of intolerance," etc.

Hey man, other people said they WEREN'T being facetious, and just because I AM being facetious, you're accusing me of intolerance!!! The only thing I'm intolerant about is the intolerance of people who call me INTOLERANT!! I'm FACETIOUS, not INTOLERANT - don't you get it??!!!
