Samael is one of my favorite metal bands, but they're really losing me. Passage rocked (Especially the Xtyras disk), Eternal was getting a bit out there but I still enjoyed it. Reign of Light has barely touched my CD player. Everything is just too happy now. What happened to Satan?

Tristania's last album was also pretty weak. Too much guitar and not enough keyboard. The whole sound changed pretty dramaticly and I don't care for it.

Theatre of Tragedy needs to be lynched after Assembly, which was just an abomination.

I think one of the biggest was Miles after his hiatus. He made some ok albums (We Want Miles) but *it* wasn't there (perhaps live though).

Bowie of course. Very sad.

Nick Cave. After Blixa left him he's reduced to a sad wannabe crooner w/gospel choir.

On the other hand, some people do get better/keeps their form with time. Cash, Blixa, KC etc.

last floyd album i liked was "animals" which was underrated....i never got "the wall", and yes, i was a big syd fan too...actually syd went downhill after floyd, a few good tunes but....

and daniel johnson went downhill after he was "discovered"...oh well...

eno after he went ambient....talking heads after "remain in light" , actually "fear of music" really...

is twitch that al solo record? why exactly do people like that? it's like those awful cabaret voltaire records where they discovered sampling....not to mention all the other awful cabaret voltaire records...

Pale Creation - Nothing else they did EVER EVER EVER touched the forgotten masterpiece that was their '92 demo. Possibly one of the finest bits of crossover inspired metal ever recorded, and they never came close to that good again.

Metallica. Everything after And Justice For All was shit.
