As some of you here will know I have had serious difficulties using Tracktion since the update to version 2, particularly GUI freezes, audio dropouts, soundacrd issues... as well as the ongoing MIDI note-drop and Rewire not syncing properly issues inherited from T1.

Well I had really hoped that after a few months of extra work the next update would help matters. But having spent a few hours testing out the latest build, I'm really sad to say that 2.0.2.8 is no better on any count here. The same problems persist.

In the meatime as many of you will know, my "second host" - Ableton Live - has served as my "main host"... and I have grown to love it to a point where monogomy is the only way forward!!

So I guess that the time has come for me to move on. For 18 months, Tracktion was my main host, and I really enjoyed making music with this software. I am certainly sad to think that that phase is now over.

Before going, I really do want to thank everybody on this forum who has tried at one time or another to help me with the issues I have had. I also want to thank forum users who have simply had the patience to put up with my long-winded ramblings!

So thank you very much... and goodnight.

Take care, y'all, and a heart-felt thanks. And best wishes for the future.

Andy

Sorry to see you go Headquest. Wish you all the best all the Live long days. Maybe we'll see you back here for the T1 reunion in 10 years when we will bitch about the bad old days when software still had bugs.

Wow, jens! You're into eXT!!?! Never saw that coming.

I'm still happy with T2. Very happy, actually.

Of course, I've not been around here for a couple of months so that's probably why.

When it comes down to it, its really about the music, theres always so many variables when it comes to Daws and how they run on different computers.

To those of you leaving, the best of luck to you, hope your choices work well for you, to those staying, I'm with you. A proud convert from Pro Tools.

Peace,
H

Hay it sounds like you guys finally found the host that will work for you. Congratulations. I felt the same way when I switched from Cubase to Tracktion. Now I'm having soooo much fun making lots of music (and money  ) with T2. I still look at other hosts every now and then out of curiousity, but T is just too good for the way I work.
The forum wont be the same without Jens around tho thats for sure. He was here back in the "good olde days" haha. To all the rest, have fun with Live, stop searching around for other sequencers and go make some damn tunes already.
