I knew that the update wouldn't fix your issues. ;) Well, have fun in Live, you know... making remixes 'n' stuff. ;) ;)

I'm pretty well hooked on Live now too. I began using Live 4 lite which came with my firewire audiophile. Smart move on Ableton's part.

Rewiring Live to Tracktion lasted for a couple of weeks before I began to start up Live on it's own. Live is so much fun and the program's style so addictive that I now prefer to stay there as long as I can. I use a combination of submixes and rewire to continue working around the "lite" feature limitations. Even with the cumbersome workarounds, I'm making more music and working faster now - important because this IS only a hobby for me with painting and teaching all competing for time. Working with Live feels a lot like the way I approach painting. With Tracktion, I used to spend a lot of time looking for additional software to fill out what's missing. Needless to say, I'm saving for the upgrade to Live 5.

I keep popping into the Tracktion forum. It's hard to break the habit. I really want THIS program to succeed. There's reason to hope that things could still advance very quickly from here if Mackie steps up.

I should also point out that I also still really like T1 for recording on my old wallstreet powerbook. It's fantastic for low end hardware - simple, easy to use and light on the cpu. Just my opinion but I think that's what Jules set out to do. Having accomplished it, he's more or less moved on.

Best to everyone. Here's looking forward to T3!

I still keep track of Tracktion (lol) but like Jens, I've pretty much been using eXT as my main host of choice. T2 is pretty stable on my machine, but eXT is a bit more stable.. so.. gotta go with the most solid tool.

I've done many a song in T in the past (both 1 and 2), it's not a bad program at all, I love the workflow.. but I need something that I don't have to throw TapeIt into, to get the rendering right.

Calling Greg and IIRs - are you guys asleep at the keyboard? Shouldn't you be correcting Mr. Loach right about now?

Sorry dude, I still have songs on my machine that will NOT render properly even with the latest download. I have no issues rendering inside eXT using the very same VST/VSTi.

When it actually works 100% of the time, THEN someone can correct me. Until then, piss off.

Hey guys!

I wanted to say a genuine thank you to all those here who have acted as good mates and helped me over the last couple of years or so.

Please don't turn the thread into yet another slanging match

And thank you to all those here who have wished me (and the others) well. :)
