Childish? Sorry my mistake.
If you read the thread again from the beginning you will hear a hysteric crying of children and women... :hihi:
I've been a long time active in several Logic forums and even the biggest update didn't cause such ecstatic reactions.
Maybe i just can't see the real dimension of the update?

maybe you're a troll with no purpose?
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Easy explanation: Logic is so immensely complicated that you would have to work in the program for 6 months before noticing an update! By that time the thread on the forum is already archived.

I was very happy because the only major issue (losing pdc on render) that hindered my productivity was fixed...it's not every update that makes that much of a difference.

The 2.0.28 version is great! Fixed the external midi timing issue and now I can use GigaStudio3 in perfect sync with T2.

I was using ReWire as a prior "workaround" but the hanging notes issue was annoying. Now the midi sync is solid and I'm loving it!

Love the enhanced render options. Really a pleasant surprise all around.

Not complaining but the MMC still doesn't seem to transmit a start or stop frame though? This would be the final piece of the puzzle.

Oh yes, here we go. Thanks
Just trying to learn about recording, that is if my head is not too hard.

Sorry I can't be much help with this mate, i'm on a pc and it seems fine here.
No worries man, thanks anyway :)

Perhaps the installer is being restricted from creating files in the Tracktion folder.
Quite possibly. I've had permission problems installing other software. Although in those cases everyone else was having the same issues and this time they don't so perhaps it's something unique to my setup.

The only thing that I can think of that may differ in my setup from other T2 Mac users is that I don't have T2 istalled in the applications folder. It's nested in a folder on my desktop, although this shouldn't really matter one would think.
bradkvr wrote:All Help is working fine on my Mac. A language selection dialog did pop up when I started it for the first time, though. Have you tried trashing the Tracktion prefs? If you do this, you might have to re-authorize the app.
Thanks Brad. I might wait to see if Beno replies before trying anything else.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated :)

Hi,
Well, I think it does. I had Tracktion on a different folder in the past and I had problems with it... Try to put it in the Applications folder and see if it solves your problems. I'm not having any myself.

Wow, I'm amazed, this was indeed causing all the issues I was having with the install. I wonder how many other applications might be effected by this one seemingly benign point :o I've got all my studio software in a seperate folder to the applications folder. Time to reorganize I think :hihi:

ATTENTION MAC USERS; TRACKTION MUST RESIDE IN THE APPLICATIONS FOLDER :!:

I feel beter now :D

Thanks everyone for your help in this 8)

I have Tracktion in a folder I call 'audio' right on my desktop, and help is working. I've had problems with other apps not finding things when they are not in the Applications folder. You can always leave tracktion in the Applications folder and make aliases that you can place anywhere...
