Not yet. I've got no use for a non-realtime EQ.

They've produced a manual for it...

yeah you did a good job on this plugin so was your limiter!
I'm not affiliated with RAL, nor anything 'refined'. I also didn't wite a limiter :? Since I'm not buying I don't give a rat's ass wether this is a hoax or not. I tested the plugin by mastering one of xarc's unprocessed examples and liked the results. Despite the dubious nature of the product I'm not afraid to say what i think. That is all smartass.

Sascha, I understand your suspicions of their "flagship" technology, since there is a bit of "mumbo jumbo" to the sound of it, but why not slap the free EQ on your machine and try it? With "quality level 1" in phase linear, even at 96 KHz, I found the latency totally bearable for real time tracking. Even 1 band is useful for a nice transparent boost, if you have an instrument that benefits from getting, say, a peak in the mids, or what have you. I'm using it that way and I love it.

I tried it just now and after the first 5 minutes all I can say is: WOW! This thing sounds extremely good.

This kind of EQ, price and KVR = serious miss match. Not that there aren't professionals on this forum but seriously, this should be posted at Bob Katz forum or that mastering forum where Brad Blackwood is moderating. No offence to all KvRians but how this thread has developed shows clearly that there is no appreciation what-so-ever to the sound quality of this plugin, which is, a shame. :(

I don't care how much it costs, I will still congratulate the developers. Congratulations on a fine plugin that definately rivals algorithmix and the Weiss EQ hardware. Well, at least these are my first impressions.

Cheers!

Did you actually LISTEN to the plugin? Scam artists or not, they've got a damn fine EQ there.

Sometimes the collective IQ of KvR is embarrasingly low and the people who actually LISTEN and TRY OUT the plugin before slingin' mud is embarrasingly high. Well come. :)

Funny thing...
Will try the EQ for sure later on, but I'm still wondering about their claims of getting some sort of hearing balance back... and about the Behringer remarks... and about their funny website with text being placed over borders...

Why bother learning DSP programming. Why bother attempting to produce the best product you can at a reasonable price.
Turn out any old shit. Get your kid sister to skin it. Claim you've got rocket scientists on the payroll. Claim you can cure deafness.

Some twat will back you up. Not only that they'll claim anyone who disagrees is deaf.

Which is handy, since you can cure it.

Hoax or no hoax, after 5 minutes of testing the free 1 band EQ plugin I'm convinced that they just have a way sucky GUI, bad marketing but a brilliant team of coders/engineers. You really HAVE TO try the plugin, really. It works fine in real time on quality setting 1 and at 5 it does introduce a considerable delay but so does the Weiss eq and algorithmix too and this one, I think, could be at the same quality level.

Cheers!

that's bullshit. You are the twat who hasn't even tested the plugin. I say exactly what i think.

I don't know the criteria for judging a good eq. I stated that right at the start. But I will solve the controversy once and for all by grabbing a proven good quality plug (tc md3) and having a good listen.

You still here tosspot? After the kicking you've received in this thread I'd have thought you'd have slunk off and died of shame somewhere.
