the hoax thing is entirely in response to the fact that the company who created it also have a plugin that "restores golden ears" and has an explanation that sounds so much like a speech from star trek it made may girlfreind laugh (and she hates this stuff)

the eq may well be blindingly good, i've no idea, but it does use a shed load of cpu and i didn't hear anything spectacular (its an eq for f**ks sake, it doesn't do the dishes for me  ) and that rules it out entirely for me.

each to their own, you can use and talk about it all you want but you can't expect people to not take the piss out of the other product (and by extension this one)

cheers,

steve.

Yes, I know but this TOPIC is about THE EQ, not that 'other product' and the eq is great. :)

true, but with three threads merging into 1 as it were, you're bound to get some cross posting.

anyways, back to your eq

I want more hoaxes like this.

As Kingston mentioned, we just spent some quality time tweaking my stuff, and hell yeah. Buggy, bad GUI, eats CPU, what ever.

*puts the audiophile suit on*

Can't wait for the moment when the hoax is revealed to us mere mortals.

Hi!

This is an impressive eq. I don´t need pretty GUIs or pretty words.... I don´t need anything except quality.

Excellent quality cost = nothing.

It´s simple. 8)

Greetings,

Why don't any of you morons that live in the US contact Muse Research and check if it's for real or not? If you had even half a brain you had called or emailed Muse several days ago instead of making complete fools out of yourself in this thread. Let's see if I get a response to my mail anytime soon, I'll post it here for sure...

Post

how do you know that Muse even knows if this is real or not?

Post

Well, since the top systems are running on Receptor I'm pretty sure Muse would know, wouldn't they???

Amen to that. Can the rest of you developers "hoax" us like this, please? :hihi:

To anyone who has DL'ed the latest version. When using multiple parallel instances in PL mode (any level), have any of you felt that, at least sometimes, the bell cuts don't work? Everything else works and is obvious, including cuts with all other curves, but I just can't seem to hear much when I cut with the bell curve with more than one instance.

I tried the first version last night - and my initial impression is that this is an exceptionally good eq. I was comparing against my current favorite eq - Kjaerhus GEQ-7. Obviously, a freebie can't be expected to be just as good as the commercial version. But this gives you a taste of what a great digital eq should sound like - which I think is the point.

I can't understand the mentality of some of the posters here. Expressions like "pearls before swine" come to mind.

I hope this company isn't put off by the small minded children here who apparantly don't know good sound quality when it bites them on the arse.

Odd quirk - I found that by itself, this plugin was a bit buggy and froze. But - for some reason - having GEQ-7 running flat before this plugin solved everything. I'll try the new version to see if that fixes it (i'm using Cubase SX3 on PC).

I think between the bugs, the fairly simplistic GUI, and the massive CPU hit when trying to test the high quality functions, people have just gotten their bullshite detectors all up and running. They are missing out (though there is certainly a legitimate complaint about the bugs and a real world concern about CPU).

Yes,

more hoaxes like that please!!! And greetings to JMH the "audiophile"! :hihi:  8)

Best wishes, FRitz

P.S. The 1.0.7 version is way more unstable under Nuendo2 here. Can't bring the quality to more than 1 without CPU over. A saved project doesn't load but crashes N2. Unloading the plugin crashes N2 to the desktop with a wierd rewire.dll popup thingy:

Exactly my thoughts too but then I remebered that this is KvR and didn't make that comment. :hihi:

This is what I've been trying to say already a couple of times. The plugin does not work properly when multiple instances are loaded. What you described is one of these symptoms, when loading a new plugin the old one suddenly stops working (well, at least the bell shape).

This thing is buggy as hell but I sure hope they get it fixed.

Cheers!
