PLParEQ1 and PLParEQ4

We are pleased to announce that we found an undesirable interaction between our memory management and the VST host threading mechanism. This has now been corrected, and it should correct many of the system crashes that people have been experiencing. Version 1.10 of PLParEQ1 is now available for download at our website.
http://refinedaudiometrics.com/pages/14/index.htm
Our tests have shown that we could load up 4 of the PLParEQ1 plugins on our 3 GHz 2 GByte Pentium III in Tracktion 2 before experiencing occasional dropouts and crackles.
Additionally, as an expression of our sincere appreciation for everyone's participation, comments, and use of our (unintentional beta) code, we are making available a 4-band version sans GUI, named PLParEQ4.
It makes use of the VST host-provided user interface. This 4-band unit might not be as pretty to look at, but it provides fully 4 bands of traditional or phase-linear equalization without excessively loading down your computer. The load should be substantially lighter than using 4 separate copies of the PLParEQ1 plugin.
You can download your free, and completely unrestricted copy, at the same Web page.
Cheers,
- DM

dunno why but this doesn't work in a busy project in sonar for me - the transport just wont engage at all.
Kind regards

Let me first say I love the plugin, it sounds amazing.
I cant seem to find the download link for the new version however. =( That page just has links to 3 PDFs, no plugin link.

Please reload version 1.11. We spoke too soon about the bug fix in 1.10. We added a bunch of thread-locking protocols to the memory management and it now works just fine.
I am able to get all 4 filters in phase linear mode in PLParEQ4 running up to level 3 without any clicks or dropouts. Levels 4 and 5 are for high quality low-frequency filtering and can only be used successfully in bounce-track mode.
Sorry for all the mishigas...

... ahem...
Version 1.11 was a bit too cautious and causes clicking whenever you change any parameter.
Version 1.12 now available removes the clicking on parameter changes, except for when you alter the Quality level...
Now you can smoothly change frequency and Q and not hear lots of clicking...

Hi,
I'm sorry to report but they're riddled with bugs.
PLpar1 in wavelab. quality 5 doesn't work at all. It doesn't let me play audio. Q4 works. If I switch filter type (linear, warp) it crashes to desktop. If I try to play a file of some other sample rate that the initial one I used with the plugin, it crashes.
PLpar4 crashes and jams the whole system when use in wavelab. No playback is possible. In nuendo it just crashes to desktop without playing anything.
It's unfortunate as these plugins sound awesome.

problems in Wavelab 5:
single band version
1. If you try to save plugin preset it will crush Wvelab
2. On first play it works but if you stop playback and press play again it won't work (no sound comes through). Looks like it playabacks fine if audio sr is 96khz.
3. It sometimes kills Wavelab just for no obvious reason.

What I found last night was that whenever the system starts paging memory very heavily, it seems to knock out the ASIO interface... I had to repeatedly switch over to the control panel and restart the ASIO driver. But crashing? Once I reached version 1.12 all the crashes had been solved here...
Been running all morning long on Tracktion 2 and Audition. I'm about to try Sonar 5.
