by the way, I can almost see now why BONES prefers Orion over FL. Seems like its the style of music.
You idiots aren't really stupid enough to believe that that's me, are you?
Nope, the guy looks abit too old for a 14-year old :/

meaning you just make fun of a random ugly guy with funny glasses?

Its just simpler and familiar and a lot less work. In a signal flow it is as flexible as your imagination. Even though I have 6-point modulation envelopes on my VSTi, I doubt that I have ever used the extra points for anything other than to prolong the decay. I don't even know why I persist with them, especially as Jeff has removed that module from SE. They will definitely go once Atilla gets his graphical one up and running.

Exactly. I downloaded Orion demo last night and compared the WaspXT synth to a some of the synths that I own. (alpha, waldorf a1, pentagon, synth1, pro53) and it appears that WaspXT filter doesn’t self oscillate when the filter is open with resonance turned up. The LP Fat filter seems to have a TB-303ish type sound to it. I think that’s why they like that synth so much. It’s great if you’re into techno but if you’re into other types of music there are better alternatives out there.

Post

Yes, that's right, everyone knows what a huge fan of the 303 I am. Listen to all the presets, did you?

you said it was easier and more powerful. This explains the easier, but more powerful?

I made my best so that my multipoint envelopes don't have the only drawback of usual multipoint envelopes: ADSR automation. So I can't think of any advantage of ADSR vs multipoint.
I use them a lot, for FM, for sequences..

Sorry, I don't quite follow what your saying but I wasn't specifically talking abou tyour envelopes as its been quite some time since I've so much as looked at 'em. I'm sure the're perfectly wonderful, one to a page in that ludicrously inept channel window you seem to enjoy inflicting on your users. Big picture, man. BIG PICTURE!

I'm talking about sytrus envelopes here, FL still has ADSRs built-in channels. The reason I switched for multipoint envelopes, is that they're 100% superior to ADSR's, and completely replace them. Unless I'm missing something.

Oh, and yes - multipoint envelopes are better than ADSR envelopes anyday. It's one of the things I miss in Reason.
