Its just simpler and familiar and a lot less work. In a signal flow it is as flexible as your imagination. Even though I have 6-point modulation envelopes on my VSTi, I doubt that I have ever used the extra points for anything other than to prolong the decay. I don't even know why I persist with them, especially as Jeff has removed that module from SE. They will definitely go once Atilla gets his graphical one up and running.

Exactly. I downloaded Orion demo last night and compared the WaspXT synth to a some of the synths that I own. (alpha, waldorf a1, pentagon, synth1, pro53) and it appears that WaspXT filter doesn’t self oscillate when the filter is open with resonance turned up. The LP Fat filter seems to have a TB-303ish type sound to it. I think that’s why they like that synth so much. It’s great if you’re into techno but if you’re into other types of music there are better alternatives out there.arke wrote:no kidding ...Wopelka wrote:it's crazy how much a beard can soften a face

Yes, that's right, everyone knows what a huge fan of the 303 I am. Listen to all the presets, did you?

you said it was easier and more powerful. This explains the easier, but more powerful? Its just simpler and familiar and a lot less work
I made my best so that my multipoint envelopes don't have the only drawback of usual multipoint envelopes: ADSR automation. So I can't think of any advantage of ADSR vs multipoint.
I use them a lot, for FM, for sequences..

Sorry, I don't quite follow what your saying but I wasn't specifically talking abou tyour envelopes as its been quite some time since I've so much as looked at 'em. I'm sure the're perfectly wonderful, one to a page in that ludicrously inept channel window you seem to enjoy inflicting on your users. Big picture, man. I'm talking about sytrus envelopes here, FL still has ADSRs built-in channels. The reason I switched for multipoint envelopes, is that they're 100% superior to ADSR's, and completely replace them. Unless I'm missing something.
