I quite like it. I was also looking at the GNX4, GNX3000, Boss GT8 and Pod XTLive but the prices here in Canada are quite skewed from what I see on Sweetwater and Musicians Friend. I was really interested in the GNX3000 but it was well over $600cdn with no real timeframe when one would actually come in. The Boss was up there too. The POD would have come in at about the $500 mark but the AX came in at $399. I did try the Boss and Pod and while they do some stuff the Korg doesn't I couldn't really say one sounded better than the other so at the prices in front of me I went with the Korg. The have some really good Vox simulations (Korg owns Vox).riley4reason wrote:Looks like allot value for $349.00. I was thinking about getting the Digitech GNX4 instead, it has allot for the money too.darcyb62 wrote:Got tired of waiting and went and bought a Korg AX3000G
How do you like the AX3 so far?

I think a sound comparison between AT1 and GR1 would be interesting. Has anyone compared them both?xRAVENx wrote:I'm talking about the versions 1I know you'll be saying 'try the demos', but I've got nothing to try them on here - hence my question.

well GuitarRig1 is way newer than Amplitube1 and I think it'll be better to compare the new ones once they're outriley4reason wrote:I think a sound comparison between AT1 and GR1 would be interesting. with Amplitube1 now you get 2 for free don't know if that holds true for GR, too

The main sonic difference IMO is that GR1 won't make your ears bleed from high frequency sheen. I don't know where this sheen comes from, maybe it's a sonic artifact of some kind.xRAVENx wrote:so, anyone fancy explaining the sound-wise difference between amplitube and guitar rig?

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
