Gordon, what's this? Falling in love with Tracktion? Could this mean a possible convert here, with potential collaboration in the future?

... seemed like a fatal attraction from the beginning... :D

This new version is as smooth as well you know. Integration with VSts is very good and the pianoroll (once I caught on to the way it works) is much less glitchy. Props to RMS and Mackie.

I 'm still with the old one (1.6 NFR - 150euros is a bit steep for me at the moment for the boxed version). The only thing I am missing is audio loop recording.

I'm still using T1.6 as well, however I bought T2 boxed on the upgrade before the end of July - it's sitting on the shelf at home waiting for me to finish putting my new DAW together - which I started last night. I fitted MOBO and drives and connected all the case wiring to the MOBO.

Hey good luck with that Scott. What are the specs?

ASUS A8V Deluxe MOBO (so I could go X2 eventually)
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Vienna core CPU
Samsung spinpoint S1213C 120 GB SATA HD
1GB DDR 400
Gigabyte FX5200 8x AGP video card
Antec Sonata I case

Eventually I want to buy a Firebox and another Spinpoint HD, but I splurged a little on the MOBO.

So for now, believe it or not, I'm putting in my old SB Live platinum card (don't laugh).

I don't know what you are upgrading from, but I have a very similar specced machine, and it does fly. :)
Antec Sonata I case
I used the desktop sonata case on my wife's PC. It is a really nice looking case. The desktop version took a little bit of care to ensure adequate cooling, but it works great, is very quiet, and looks pretty classy.

Which, as you know, T2 has. ;) Hope you can afford it sooner than later. It's nice to have. I can't go back primarily because of audio loop recording.

I am such a good player; I don't need it :D but those singers ... :D
Joking of course. In fact that's one of the main reasons that would make me update.

I've been shopping there fairly exclusively recently, and I'm generally happy with both price and service.
