Korg Legacy Digital doesn't like Tracktion 2?

Hi everyone; i'm curious to know if anyone's bought the Korg Legacy Collection Digital Edition and has had trouble getting the M1 in particular (or any other dongled stuff) to play nice with Tracktion 2.

Part of the plugin's GUI loads and it seems to respond to MIDI data but it doesn't let you edit anything. It does this on both my laptop and my desktop, and all the plugins in the bundle load without a problem in Buzz, so i suspect it's a hissyfit between the M1 plugin and tracktion.

Anyone else had such a problem? (And yes i'm asking Korg about it too.)

Since the software is so new, that sort of thing should be expected. It's good you emailed Korg directly about it, because that means they'll probably work to fix the problem by the next update.

Well we're only troubleshooting at the moment. The thing is with all the plugs working in Buzz i'm looking more in Mackie's direction than Korg's at the moment.

I sure hope the M1 works in Cakewalk hosts. I'm still thinking about buying this.

The M1 and Wavestation sound superb, and the MDE-X is a nice low CPU multi-effects unit. Still, without loading in my fave multitrack editor, they're not too useful.

really? Yet there was a huge thread here bagging the shit out of what a mistake Korg made porting that.

Interesting to hear from someone that actually HAS the software version:)

Re the T2 problems...I wouldn't blame mackie yet....Thdere are plenty of plugins when released that work in some hosts and not others...It's up to the plugin manufacturer to insure compatibility imo.

Korg were always prompt releasing Legacy Collection updates, I don't see any reason for that pattern to change. Just hang tight for a bit..all you can do now is let them know.
Exactamundo.

Maybe, maybe not. The thing is that the sounds are going to appeal to some people and not others. I love the extra complexity of texture you get with PCM-based digital synths as opposed to analogues (no matter how sexy the filtering and modulation options are), not to mention that i grew up with the sounds of the M1 in the music i was hearing.

I guess some people thought Korg were letting themselves off or something by virtualising an already digital synth instead of circuit-modelling yet another classic analogue synth. Feh! I'm chuffed to have access to the M1 as a VSTi, possibly moreso than the WS which is already gorgeosity. :)

Very sound advice. It's often a pain being one of the first to own and therefore the first to find out hardare limitations..

Oh! K-Bird! I have a question for you, since you own the M1. Have you gotten a chance to demo what's on the orchestral, brass and ethnic expansion boards? If so, how do they sound?

Thanks in advance. :D

Darn tootin'. I had to go through that with MOTU Symphonic Instrument.

Hm. Do you have an Intel CPU or an Athlon CPU?
