And to think, lharless, we just just getting to like you. The strange part is that you don't like the single most beautiful and wondrous thing about Tracktion: No stupid psuedo-mixer to get in the way.

Sorry, lharless, back to Human Interface Design bootcamp for you. Look deep into the vector-based GUI...you're getting s l e e p y........

If want a frikkin' mixer, get a hardware controller. Mackie makes 'em. That way you can actually move more than one slider at a time. Or, take our short indocternation course on the joys of automation.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

i also would like a mixer but drivers for the Tranzport would go well for me. and at least a nice fader filter if no mixer.
I Don't own a PC!

The automation/ tempo change problem makes me want to look for another host it is so serious.

Folder tracks (and they require for full efficiency: screensets).

Post

- folders
- loop recording for the midi like it is done now for the audio
- automation per clip
- more options for a freeze
- improved sampler (by not much, just add envelope, filter, sample looping and external file format)
- ability to open more than one edit at once
- ability to export projects with embedded vst's dlls (when possible)
- vst instruments per midi clip
- a Linux version (Traction is multiplatform with Mac's port and so it's already running in unix like environment)
- spectral view for the waveforms

*Clip-based automation
*Midi clip fades

Can someone please tell me what "folder tracks" are?
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

I would like the GUI to use the concept of "focus". So, if you select an input device, the up-down arrows would move the device from track to track. Or if you select the midi channel slider on the keyboard panel, and right left arrows would increment the midi channel.

It is not possible to set the global keyboard shortcuts to do either of these things.

That simple feature would make it wonderfully usable on stage and save me having to go looking for an external controller to do the same job.

Absolutely. When recording automation on, say, 30 or more tracks. The prospect of resizing them all manually after changing tempo is just heartbreaking.

That, and I'd like to be able to draw lines in CC data that aren't limited to 'snap' settings. Similar to drawing whilst holding down Ctrl. I don't understand why the line tool should be limited in that way.

1. Aftertouch support.

2. Correct usage of midiclock output.

3. Aftertouch support.

4. Option to chase midi CC events.

5. Aftertouch support

6. Smoother movement of cursors and meters within GUI.

7. Er... aftertouch support. Please, pretty please.

Choose any of those...
  • Standard tree view in project page
  • Ability to chose which midi tool is there by default upon opening midi clip for editing
  • Clip automation (with choice between clip or track)
  • More markers capability, being able to move, rename them and export them with rendered file (and import them with audio/video)
  • Deleting single point from automation curve
  • Bezier curve handle on automation points
  • Count in for loop mode record
  • Hide/unhide lower pane, with shortcut
  • Ability to have more than one edit open at once(tabulated)
  • Closing edit without closing Tracktion
  • Aftertouch support
Oh, and the very second Tracktion make the use of a stupid pseudo mixer mandatory, I'm uninstalling it.

If you really want a mixer, Mackie has a few they can sell you...

Surprised that aftertouch wasn't added with the last update...keyboards have had aftertouch for 20 years, that's almost more like a bug fix than a new feature...
