i'll attempt this...

L3 Ultramaximizer = nothing out there like this
L2 Ultramaximizer = Voxengo Elephant
Linear Phase Equalizer = Voxengo CurveEQ & Voxengo HarmoniEQ
True Verb Room Emulator = this sux! ... Arts Acoustic Reverb
Renaissance Equalizer = Voxengo GlissEQ sounds better
Linear Phase Multiband = nothing to replace this (tell me if you know one please, i need one !)
Q10 Paragraphic Equalizer = Voxengo GlissEQ sounds better
C4 Multiband Parametric Processor = Sonitus Multiband
Maxx Bass = Voxengo bass processors
L1 Ultramaximizer = Voxengo Elephant (better by far)
Renaissance DeEsser = Voxengo Voxformer (for wideband), Digital Fish Phones Spitfish (for narrowband)
C1 Parametric Compander = nothing out there like this, closest is Sonitus compressor
Renaissance Compressor = Kjaerhus GCO1, Voxengo Marquis for character
Renaissance Reverberator = Arts Acoustic Reverb
Renaissance Bass = Voxengo bass processors
Renaissance Vox = Kjaerhus GPP-1

You forgot to mention the MetaFlanger, SuperTap and the S1-Imager. Metaflanger can be replaced by Kjaerhus Mondomod which is way better, but the other 2 can not be touched.

The best choruses I've heard are Kjaerhus GMO-1 and CH-1 by...? (free!!!).

I like Elemental's Finis, Kjaerhus GPP-1, and TbT Pocket Limiter all more than L2.

Native comps: various Kjaerhus, Voxengo Soniformer, those are my main tools.

EQ: ElectriQ, GEQ-7, and of course PLPara 4. Elemental's Equium is also quite nice.
Here is my small version:

There's a more or less 1:1 replacement of the L1 from www.betabugsaudio.com - won't even cost you a penny.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

I get the impression you're asking this question at KvR because you are looking for native replacements for these effects, so I'll skip the DSP cards. Here are some possible alternatives:

L3 Ultramaximizer = This is still somewhat unique, so I don't know if a true alternative exists yet.

L2 Ultramaximizer = Voxengo: Elephant / Wave Arts: FinalPlug

Linear Phase Equalizer = Elemental Audio: Firium / Voxengo: CurveEQ

True Verb Room Emulator = ArtsAcoustic Reverb

Renaissance Equalizer = (Just about any modern "vintage" style EQ is superior, in my opinion) Voxengo: GlissEQ / Sonalksis: SV-517 / Kjaerhus Audio: Golden Equaliser (GEQ-7)

Linear Phase Multiband = Like the L3, I'm not aware of an equivalent currently.

Q10 Paragraphic Equalizer = Elemental Audio: Eqium

C4 Multiband Parametric Processor = (This is one of Waves' best plug-ins and not easily replacable, but perhaps...) Wave Arts: MultiDynamics / iZotope: Ozone

Maxx Bass (kind of unique, but...) = Voxengo: LF-Punch, LF-Max / PSPaudioware: PSP Mix-Bass

L1 Ultramaximizer = (I'm not intimately familiar enough with L1 to know how its sound differs from L2, but perhaps...) Voxengo: Elephant / Khaerhus Audio: Golden Peak-Pressor (GPP-1)

Renaissance DeEsser = Voxengo: Voxformer / Kjaerhus Audio: Golden Audio Channel (GAC-1) / DigitalPhishPhones: Spitfish

C1 Parametric Compander = (I'm not really aware of a plug-in that exactly matches the C1 completely, be it transparency, flexibility or CPU efficiency. A lot of people in the business swear by this one. Possibly...) Kjaerhus Audio: Golden Compressor (GCO-1)

Renaissance Compressor = Voxengo: Marquis Compressor / Kjaerhus Audio: Golden Uni-Pressor (GUP-1)

Renaissance Reverberator = ArtsAcoustic Reverb

Renaissance Bass = PSPaudioware: PSP Mix-Bass

Renaissance Vox = Voxengo: Voxformer / Kjaerhus Audio: Golden Audio Channel (GAC-1) / Wave Arts: TrackPlug

Tronam very well covered buddy. I think this is a perfect list. I'm hoping Voxengo will produce a wondefful Multiband Marquis Compresor so that may be able to replace the C4. As far as the Linear Multiband, the closest at the moment is probably Soniformer, but I don't think that's linear phase.

Cheers, soundpalace. :) I didn't realize until after submitting my post that you'd covered a lot of this ground already. So, what's your thought on the C1? I've been scratching my head on a genuine alternative, but it doesn't seem easily replaced. Unlike a lot of the recent plugin releases which seem to go for a more opto/tube sound character, Waves didn't really set out to make the C1 "vintage" at all. Surely there must be other track compressors that strive for a similar level of transparency. Sonitus:fx Compressor seems similar in some ways, though not as flexible. dB Audioware Dynamics perhaps or maybe even the new TrackPlug?

Regards,

Tronam

I don't think this one is linear phase either, and I'm probably showing my ignorance (again  ) but when I demoed them I thought this thing was similar in both operation and results...

headquest thanks a lot mate, i'll check it out right now.

Tronam honestly I never really used the C1 much when playing with the Waves bundles, as far as I have seen the Sonitus one seems to be the closest in terms of sound but obviously not flexibility. Apologies that I can't help on this one. I honestly tend to enjoy the qualities of the analogue modelled plugins more personally. I never liked much by Waves except the Renaissance collection and the delay, flanger and stuff like Enigma, which is a great plugin !

Good luck with your search on this one :D

Oh, I messed that one up, I thought you meant the L1 and L2. The L3 can't be replaced by TLs Maximizer. Obviously.

Best wishes, FRitz

For the LinPhase Eq: JMS HiRes EQ
For the multiband: Sonalksis CQ1
they are around the quality you're asking for but if I had the money for the waves bundle I would just buy in a second UAD UltraPak + the multiband and forget bout the others.
That's it.

Good call on the Sonalksis CQ1. I had forgotten about that one. JMS HiRes EQ is a good one, though I don't believe it's a linear phase equalizer. :?:

Hi,

just wanna jump in for the Linear Phase Multiband Comp.
It exists and lately I often prefer it to LinMB :
It's part of Ozone3 mastering processor.
Ozone 3 will also replace ( and often surpass ) LinEQs, RenEqs, Qs, L1/L2, TrueVerb and S1.

Also has a good sounding multiband exciter.

ok, true, it's a HiRes eq not a LinPhase one.
I know some mastering engineers who use it ;)

The Nomad Factory Essential Studio Suite as just as good as Waves but cheaper. Which makes it better than Waves in my ever so humble (and cheap) opinion.

Fantastic - list on first page updated ;-)
