Hi,

Since my singing and guitar technique sucks, I always
need to have many takes and select the good part to make
a good track. While selecting which part in which take should be part of my master take. I either create many track in T2, and then solo each one to compare different
takes, OR delete the wav file and then import another wav file blah blah blah... My question: is there any more effective way to compare different take? As far as
I know Protool got a very handy feature called
"playlist" to handle this situtation. (actually i don't
protool..) Is there any tips for T2?

Thanks

Well, as long as you're doing multiple takes in one sitting (ie. back-to-back), you just select the region you're working on, press "loop", and then record. When it loops around, it will keep adding takes and a "+" sign will appear in the clip, which is a pull-down menu to switch between takes.

It makes doing a good guitar solo very easy. ;)

Hi, the looping works. But i have another question..
how to create the "+" sign for imported clips? say if I import a few takes (in *.wav format), how to set them up in a single track and use the "+" sign to snap between different takes?

Thanks

It can't be done, unfortunately. You can come up with half-assed workarounds, but it's never quite as elegant as having done the loop to begin with. :(

Since the loops (+) clips are really just stiched-together waves, I wonder if one of the Mackie team could make a 'stitcher' that takes clips of the same length and stiches them together properly. Then you could re-render your imported files, set a uniform surrogate 'loop region' and then re-render each of your imported waves so that they're all the same length.

A quick stitch later, and instant (+) file!

........ that is not great..
I wish i have an easy way to do it.. I think compare different takes is essential in editing, especially most of the singers are suck like me nowadays..

I want to make a Feature Request!!!!

Oh.. i just find that is already a FR (folder track).
It is a cool idea.. better than the playlist in PT.
