Did you happen to notice the fact thatit was never cracked. They just made an emulator which was blocked in a new version of syncrosoft control?
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

The syncrosoft dongle works fine, never had any issues with it, not in sx2 and not in sx3.
If ampitube2 delivers on sound quality, I'll be getting it. While I dislike intrusive copy protection schemes, syncrosoft so far hasn't fallen into that category. My systems perform the same with and without the dongle installed (unlike with pace), SX3 runs fine, no slowdowns compared to SX2 here.
Sonar 5 uses no dongle, and it's a bag of bugs, not usable for any real work here.
I understand and support not accepting the more and more intrusive ways of 'copy protection'. Lets not go overboard there, though. If syncrosoft stays the way it is, we're all pretty well off.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Someone had heard that AT2 will use Syncrosoft protection. I know Steinberg products use this protection, but what other companies are using it?

I think IK uses it also for the Philharmonik, and I think it will be used a lot more in the coming months. I heard that Syncro's iKey has a lot less problems that Pace's iLok.

Arturia will be. Probably many others. Most major companies are going with either Syncrosoft or Ilok or their own proprietary protection. I think it is better when it is a common scheme that everyone uses but good luck getting everyone to agree!mondo tormento wrote:Someone had heard that AT2 will use Syncrosoft protection.
