I noticed that the 1 gig RAM upgrade is kind of steep at $250.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes you can buy and install the RAM yourself. It's explained on plugorama.com.
The RAM specification is as follows: SD-RAM 184 PIN DIMM, DDR, 333MHz (or faster), PC2700 (or greater) type. Must be Non-ECC, non-buffered RAM.

Receptor uses standard / off-the-shelf DIMM RAM PC memory. We recommend using a premium-brand memory that carries a lifetime warranty. There are two RAM slots on Receptor, and you can add 256MB, 512MB, or 1GB into this open slot. By replacing the existing RAM, you can add RAM up to the maximum of 2GB.

Hello
I just ordered the receptor with the 200 GB drive, but plan to upgrade the ram on my own.
What would be an example of "greater than" pc2700 ram?. I'm not very well versed in ram specifications. Would there be any benefit now or in the future to exceeding the specification?
Here are links to Kingston and Samsung ram choices I am considering. Are there better choices or are these ideal?
