Cons: Limited audio editor!!! When are we going to get a professional editor? T10?

Post

Yeah and when will Tracktion have a proper Spreadsheet and Word Proccessor and Photo Editor!?!

EM, I wonder if they can tell the difference between a DAW and an audio editor.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

When many would like to see a change in T most over here make a joke of it...

Not sure what you mean by many. I think most folks are quite happy with the audio capabilities of Tracktion. Adding a full-blown two-track audio editor would probablly take away from much more important development tasks. I do have Sound Forge, but I can't think of anything I use it for that I couldn't do in Audacity for free. (Well the loop tuner tool IS pretty cool. )
At home, he's a tourist...

Correct.

When I started using Tracktion, coming from Cubase, my reaction was the same. But now I´m really happy for the non-destructive way of handling audio in Tracktion. So much easier. The only thing that could come handy sometimes is a simpler way of reversing a clip, and that´s it really...

spot on indeed!

(who needs an audio-editor anyway these days?)

I gotta agree. I bought Acon Acoustica for editing needs, and I pull it out once in a blue moon. Still worth the $40 I spent (or whatever it was) for its excellent noise reduction, but I can hardly ever see the need for an audio editor.

I love the crtl+w feature of opening the wav in an external editor, that's such a nice, flexible solution. Especially if you're accustomed to something like Wavelab, SoundForge, Audacity, etc. It could even be nice if you could do this with MIDI files, perhaps you could open it in eXT, for example.

I wouldn't want anything more in it. That's the charm of it, its simplicity.

I already have the best audio editor for use in Tracktion, Adobe Audition. All I have to do is hit "control-w" and clips open up in AA automatically. I cant wait for t10. :D
