Figured you might be interested in hearing some music being made with Liveslice.

I've posted a track in the Cafe here called Damp 1, made entirely within Liveslice fed into a few effects. It was done in one live take, actually was fairly quick getting all set up in advance, too.

Thanks for the great tool, Jacob.

Cheers,
Steve

though i prefer some beats in tracks this one's got it's own groovy rhythm through the use of liveslice. :)

Thanks for listening. I figured most users will be looking for beats from Liveslice, but it's great for building other rhythmic lines with it, too.

In that clip, all the accent sounds come from flipping through samples on the fly with Liveslice's browser.

Good stuff Steve

LiveSlice was made with experimental stuff like yours in mind. Beats don't have to sound like drums :) One thing I really like personally is to autoslice a percussive sequence and then replace the wave with anything (glass organ, insect noises, pads).
I often use very low decay values transforming a beat into a sequence of differently colored clicks - great if fed into a (comb) filter - as you seem to have noticed too.

This track is a keeper, thanks.

I'll get my new midicontroller next week, then I'll probably post some music of my own.

Steve - would you allow me to use this as a demo song?

Of course you can, it's the least I can do.

Glad you liked.
